I completed my version of your arrow saw this last weekend. I bought the 2" angle, but after adding a spacer under the c/o saw the arrow was still not parallel to where I would have liked it. Instead of adding more spacer under the saw, i switched to a piece of T-iron I had under the bench and actually lowered the saw by 1/4-inch. I need to get the tape measure yet, but set it up and cut a dozen arrows for my grandsons. I would add a picture, but I don't see how to do that. Thanks for sharing your idea with us.

Clever. Very nice. As a Journeyman carpenter I can tell you, using the level has nothing to do with it. As long as you're square and straight (which your jig is) you're good to go. As long as your arrow didn't fall out you could point the whole jig up vertical if you wanted and it still would cut excellent arrow length as you demonstrated down on the table. Again, nice job.

To make a straight cut you need to rotate your arrow. That will allow you to make a straight cut and also keep your RPM up.

Yeah I have to rotate lumber when I use my miter saw so it comes out square.

I am unclear about the 8193 dremel bit. From what I have seen the bit is flat on the bottom so are you mounting that in something the diameter of the arrow?

Richard Samuelson I used a 1/2" forstner bit to fit the dremel bit and glued it in. I drilled the arrow side the same diameter of a carbon shaft
