@@scxrd2107 tether/lucky pants/malfeasance/doomed petitioner (crafted) recon with precision instrument/any disorienting gl or solar weapon to get radiant if you want (solar sniper or bow for one or 2 shot radiant)....having devour for final encounter is very nice for survival...moreso than restorationx1 imo...plus tether is clutch since you can focus on boss dps without having to worry about the taken eyes chunking your health as they heal you as they die (assuming you have devour proc'd, even without devour it'll still keep you alive while focusing the meatball)
The pillar peek-a-boo is the most impressive part about the DPS in the final encounter. Surprising that you don't really need to reserve Knife Trick for emergency healing.
As always appreciate the videos so much! Got mine done today. For other hunters going for this my advice is to keep survivability in your mind at all times. The final boss will likely be almost a full two cycles but that’s okay. Just keep chunking away every floor with celestial and dragons breath and take it SLOW. It’s so easy to have your heart rate up and wanting to get it done but that’s when you make stupid mistakes. Just take it easy and keep restoration up over everything else you’ll be good.

Just finished solo with this build :) Went flawless on the first two bosses but then died in the traversal section when one of my jumps were eaten. Didn't end up mattering though since the boss took me 10 attempts any way lol. Thanks for the strats!

I've been switching between decoy strand hunter with coyote and ophidia blade for resto but not much success past the second boss. Love your work, love this dungeon
@@GMurph2336 You underrate them, ophidia was already good before their buff and strand decoy I use regularly in master content. I don't bounty prep so I only had a few artifact mods from the first 2 rows unlocked which hurts every build
Seems most every Solo Hunter build relies on Cowl. As we have essentially no defensive tools, it's the one Exotic keeping us in the Solo Flawless game.
@@ForeverLaxx it's either cowl for its ease of use, or maxing cure grenade uptime and using recuperation for higher damage output with star eaters or higher blade barrage uptime with shards of galanor.
I'd argue it's better than Sunshot, only because the scorch that Sunshot applies doesn't proc before the explosion, this season is different because Sunshot itself can proc scorch with the artifact mod.
cam for the boss fight, before i even watch all of it that solar sunshot build with invs from the helm is so badass. making that right now, like and subbed.
@@SenSnpzI thought ghosts of the deep was easy to solo, it was just mind numbingly slow to do because of the insane boss health. I never struggled to do it on my Titan, it just took over two hours for me to do the whole dungeon.
@@minuteowl4421 the trick is to just shoot them as they appear. The boss only spawns them after you kill the yellow bar knight, so as soon as you kill him, immediately aim above the bosses head and blow the moths up as they appear.
@@SenSnpzduality I actually found quite easy, the final boss is just rng but it’s pretty easy to survive. Ghosts is just an endurance test. I found that I was doing the most things and being in constant danger in the final boss for this new dungeon
I couldn’t use the linear, so I opted to use B&S apex to take care of chieftains and damage for the top 3 phases, a B&S supremacy for boss damage and blights, other than that your build is the only one I could solo flawless final boss with, thank you eso for all you do !
I think most people don't like the ranged pushing attack from the ogre when the mechanic and dps requires you to be in a circle, and you're the only one he can focus.
Assassin cowl solar hunter is super underrated. Solar 3.0, this is how I solo flawless all the dungeons, except spire, and I have no business soloing anything in destiny. GG eso ✌️
Assassins cowl is one of the only ways hunters can have a super survivability build which titans and warlocks have so many of. Otherwise I think it's literally just devour invisibility and I guess the combination blow loop can keep you alive without assassin's cowl but it's not nearly as good as with it
I’ve soloed every dungeon with Solar Cowl. It’s very good. I would swap exotics for damage phase though. Ophidia is ok but I wouldn’t use it for trying to solo flawless.

Ngl ive been complaining about the nerfs affecting hunter and titan a lot lately, and most ppl seem to think solar hunter can tank any damage in the game (not even close since the nerfs). @@biotech500gtr Strand is super awkward DPS if the ogre doesn't come near you quickly enough, and Solar is not exactly great damage. Took a lot of phases to do with a Surrounded Apex Predator and Hammer of Sol, much less smooth than the Assassin's Cowl Blade Barrage with Dragon's Breath. Strand super will also straight up be useless on the final boss too.
In the description he says he’s not going to do a banner melee spam build so people who aren’t used to or have access to that playstyle have a method to complete it
I'm surprised in all the time this took you never noticed that the Sunshot explosions one shot the eyes. So you just need to kill one and then the other two on that side will die immediately. It's also neat with the final stand phases where if five have spawned you can use your Sunshot bait and switch proc shots to kill half of the eyes

Yep, did it with a similar build but used Celestial Goldy instead of Blade Barrage for all bosses. Swapped from cowl to CHawk and occasionally Foetracer if super wasn’t up yet. Would’ve 3 phased the first boss but couldn’t get heavy to drop for shit. Ended up running out of ammo for Lament and having to fusion him down the last bit.

For DPS, yes. For ammo economy and healing, use more lights as needed to stretch your damage and/or survive. It’s a pretty straightforward trade off between DPS to ammo economy as you add in more light attacks into the combo.
@@jem-jams you've got it backwards; rev 3L1H into 2L is the highest DPS combo, but 2L1H does better on total damage, per Aegis' testing. This does assume Lucent Blades though, so unsure how it changes if you've just got base Lament.
seeing this hunter build even without understanding every aspect from it, it seems even more ridiculous they nerfed the hammer, you dont become invisible when killing a target with hammer, neither can you get your melee back instantly with just activating class ability. I mean I get that they wanted to prevent using hammer on bosses but the 1.4 sec cooldown even when picking it up destroys the fun and the gameplay flow, not that I am as toxic as others and now yelling about hunters being fixed but instead bungie should have solved this issue differently somehow, like nerfing sunspots or whatsoever. But this build looks interesting, will try it out for sure.
I’ve been using blade barrage and lucky pants malfeasance combo and consistently getting 1mil plus per phase on final boss. I would try it out it’s free dps
Using Embers of Singeing, Char and Ashes like this spreads and increases scorch to such a degree that almost every knife trick throw leads to an ignition. Often you can chain them if you use a weapon that has incandescent, like the hand cannon being used here.
Quick tip for the second boss if you go with the dragons breath route make sure you dont use it with catalyst ive randomly been getting killed by the architects ever since i equipped it
DragonsBreath is literally just a Lssting Impression Rocket that makes Scorching “Witherhoard pools” around it. The reason you’re dying is cause you keep standing near the rocket b4 it explodes.
Hey eso i can't figure out what causes chieftains to spawn 2 totems consistently. Any tips? Sometimes its right away, sometimes after a little damage and sometimes not at all..
Are there any viable builds/loadouts for someone who doesn't like loadout swapping? I don't really have the reaction time to do lightning fast loadout swaps in the middle of being shot, so I prefer to go with one single loadout.
I haven’t had time to do the final boss yet, but i used double special arc assassins cowl for the first two bosses and it worked well. One two punch shotty, new sidearm and dragons breath
Could do this just fine without swaps. The main thing I use it for is for surges, but you can just build into those. Final boss I swap to celestial, but if you don't want to do that you can go without and keep the same build on the whole time. Damage won't be as high, but it'll be enough

I noticed on 2nd encounter that you were able to use your charged melee with close enemies. How can I set this up on controller so that my character doesn't lunge forward with a regular melee each time?
You can set up custom keybinds in the settings. I’ve got my powered melee set to down + melee. You can also just use down arrow if you don’t care about having 4 emotes
Lament is Solar, Goldtusk is Arc. That's why. All the builds are taking advantage of the Solar buffs this season. An Arc weapon wouldn't have been nearly as good to use just for that reason alone.

Eso i feel like recently I’ve just fallen out of love of your slow methodical (soulsesque) approach to destiny when the game is rewarding aggression (also I highly frown upon artifact preppers because it tends to be done by capable gamers like yourself who could do without), but if there is absolutely anyone I think of when I think Invis management it’s you. I still vividly remember the Nokris platinum triple shotgun with coyote. Man ggs much love & respect.
@@redsix5165 the progress carries over tho. Say you stood there for 3 seconds and then had to run. When you get back to it, you only need 4 more seconds to stand.
I don't get how this is the one dungeon that actually takes me a really long time to solo flawless. every other dungeon was fine, no more than 3 attempts. This one just feels brutal and unforgiving.

The funny part is you can out of that platform and walk back to other platform and shoot with wishender. Its a cheese

Cowl is the NR1 exo for hunter. You can use everywhere and allmost every subclass

ATP did it with Liar Handshake first encounter, then Arc Cowl second and final with Lucky Pants / malfeasance

Just did Rathil solo, and it was painful, but the nice thing about dungeons is that you can take as much time as possible because there is no enrage

Yeah for some reason when I first went to check them the bones didn't allow me to interact with them anymore, worked the next time though

He was adding a bullet into each so the explosion would kill them simultaniously after he took out the middle eye
@@hanzofps1119 no the explosions instantly kill the eyes in range. So there's no reason to shoot them because they're already dead anyway

I’ve been using blade barrage and lucky pants malfeasance combo and consistently getting 1mil plus per phase on final boss. I would try it out it’s free dps
It seems like you are getting your heal grenade back quicker with ignitions - how are you doing that?
Hows he getting ignitions off of melee like that?
Using Embers of Singeing, Char and Ashes like this spreads and increases scorch to such a degree that almost every knife trick throw leads to an ignition.
Often you can chain them if you use a weapon that has incandescent, like the hand cannon being used here.

Quick tip for the second boss if you go with the dragons breath route make sure you dont use it with catalyst ive randomly been getting killed by the architects ever since i equipped it
Catalyst has nothing to do with it. You’re standing to close to the ignitions, it’s like an embedded fusion grenade that keeps exploding.
DragonsBreath is literally just a Lssting Impression Rocket that makes Scorching “Witherhoard pools” around it. The reason you’re dying is cause you keep standing near the rocket b4 it explodes.

At 4:40 how did he go invisible? He melee'd, shot to loose invis, then somehow regained it without a melee
He hit a second add with the melee and it died later from scorch

Its complete and utter BS that the first boss will still stomp while your invis standing next to him.
Are there any viable builds/loadouts for someone who doesn't like loadout swapping?
I don't really have the reaction time to do lightning fast loadout swaps in the middle of being shot, so I prefer to go with one single loadout.
I haven’t had time to do the final boss yet, but i used double special arc assassins cowl for the first two bosses and it worked well. One two punch shotty, new sidearm and dragons breath
Could do this just fine without swaps. The main thing I use it for is for surges, but you can just build into those. Final boss I swap to celestial, but if you don't want to do that you can go without and keep the same build on the whole time. Damage won't be as high, but it'll be enough

Is it worth grinding the dragon's breath catalyst and argent ordnance before attempeting?
Solo operative is much better. 15% buff to EVERYTHING while solo/last alive

I noticed on 2nd encounter that you were able to use your charged melee with close enemies. How can I set this up on controller so that my character doesn't lunge forward with a regular melee each time?
You can set up custom keybinds in the settings. I’ve got my powered melee set to down + melee. You can also just use down arrow if you don’t care about having 4 emotes

Lament is Solar, Goldtusk is Arc. That's why. All the builds are taking advantage of the Solar buffs this season. An Arc weapon wouldn't have been nearly as good to use just for that reason alone.
Because Lament heals you as it does damage. Goldtusk is only relevant because Crota.

Eso i feel like recently I’ve just fallen out of love of your slow methodical (soulsesque) approach to destiny when the game is rewarding aggression (also I highly frown upon artifact preppers because it tends to be done by capable gamers like yourself who could do without), but if there is absolutely anyone I think of when I think Invis management it’s you. I still vividly remember the Nokris platinum triple shotgun with coyote. Man ggs much love & respect.

It’s around 7 seconds give or take.

@@redsix5165 the progress carries over tho. Say you stood there for 3 seconds and then had to run. When you get back to it, you only need 4 more seconds to stand.
I don't get how this is the one dungeon that actually takes me a really long time to solo flawless. every other dungeon was fine, no more than 3 attempts. This one just feels brutal and unforgiving.
Me staring at Ghost and how awful the final boss and unforgiving that entire dungeon was
@@snipey8623 He wants us to think he's humblebragging but I'm pretty sure he's lying. This dungeon is easier than GotD by a fair margin, and don't even get me started on the final fight in Spire when you're solo.
