This video was AMAZING!! I went with my family last night for opening but couldn't do any of the houses because I'm photosensitive to strobe. This video, posted a single day after opening night, let me screen each house to see which are safe for me to go in!! Come Sunday when we go back to the event, I'm ACTUALLY gonna be able to go in six of the ten houses. I'm shocked and delighted that you were able to get something this comprehensive up so quickly!! Thank you SO much!!
@@samanthaspera1583 I also experience seizures but I'm not photosensitive epileptic. I'm speaking from an autism point of view with overstimulation being my main enemy. That being said, The Weeknd, HellBlock Horror, and Descendants of Destruction are NOT SAFE. Bugs! features a lot of smoke which can intensify strobe, so I have struck that from my list as well. I've been in Dead Man's, which does have strobe but is better lit than other houses and is no more intense than regular cloud lightning imo. I've also been in Monsters, which was light on the strobe, and Coven, which was not super heavy on the strobe but does have a strobe room, close quarters, and smoke. I also HIGHLY recommend getting a pair of polarized sunglasses with thick arms that block light on all sides. It greatly reduced the intensity of strobe. My recommendation would be the Kastking Cat. 3 sunglasses on Amazon. I've been using them for a few years and they work wonders!! Cat 3 refers to the tint of the sunglasses. Any darker than cat 3 and you're gonna have a hard time navigating the houses.
@@Daisy-Everfree That info is super helpful thanks! If strobe is periodic it’s no big deal but any houses that are strobe the entire way through is too much and just gives me wayyy too much anxiety. I’m trying to figure out if I can do enough attractions that it would be worth buying a ticket for.
@@samanthaspera1583 I have yet to go in all of them but I feel comfortable enough this year trying out 5 of the 10 houses (I initially said 6 but I gave HellBlock a second review and rightfully decided against it). Plus, Nightmare Fuel and the Lagoon Show this year are both REALLY good. Even if you were not a fan of Nightmare Fuel last year I suggest giving it another shot - the show structure is the same but they really upped their game this year (though there is a single section with heavy strobe, so approach with cautioun)

Thanks for the video! Loved the commentary and found it fun to hear the difference of fans missing big IPs vs the old school fans who wished IPs weren't as prevalent. I agree that it seemed like something was missing but maybe it was just another new theme since this one was a repeat of last years iirc? Appreciate the speedy release on the edit!
I’m not saying they needed to have a lot more up mazes. I just feel like it was missing one or two huge ip mazes on the lineup. Weekend was a fun maze but it’s not the hype or spectacle of what they’ve had in the past.
You do such a great job with filming and editing these videos! I do not enjoy experiencing haunted mazes, etc, but I love getting to see the costumes, sets, and overall ideas, so thank you for doing these videos for those of us who want to enjoy it from afar!
I’m amazed how quickly you guys turned this around. You must be EXHAUSTED! I watch HHN every year, love it. But I don’t know, this was the first year where the mazes felt a little lacklustre to me - though I’m sure that even with your always awesome camerawork, video can never do a live sensory experience justice - there was a lot that felt reused, chaotic or cheaply made, more jump scares instead of atmosphere and tension. Dead Man’s Pier really was the only one that felt like it got that right mix with quiet points building that tension, atmosphere and then a jump and some truly epic theming, production design and effects too. And I honestly don’t get why heavy rock is always the default music choice for scare zones and shows!! Give me some strings, something gothic or tense. In case you can’t tell I love a bit of tension in my horror 😉
This was so entertaining. I've been watching a few to see the different perspectives. I now see why my husband goes to haunted houses just to see me scream. Seeing Kitra terrified made my day.
I've watched so many of the other youtubers videos on opening night of HHN 31 and as always. You guys nailed it with your amazing editing and video quality.

Somehow I overlooked ur video before someone else’s because I don’t normally watch multiples but allows me to compare content. It is amazing to see how u can make a vid 15-20 min shorter yet have more content. Could see in the dark houses (thanks Peter for great camera work). Love u gave us the intro speeches cuz had no clue with other vlogger’s about the story of each house. Love u guys

Omg first of all ty! I’ve never been to one of these and honestly im too chicken to but this lets me see the houses without physically being there. Also love that you guys are going back so I can’t wait to see more! Also i think the weekend house seemed the most fun to be scared in. I also didn’t know there’s different scare zones! The sweet revenge candy area seemed the most creative and fun to be near as well as act in!
Poor Kitra was limping halfway through the night😥Great job in cinematography, Peter. I liked the way y'all edited this better than last year, got to see more than just the houses and yet didn't give away too many house spoilers, kept it more of a tease. Good job! Love the fact that you were able to film inside the mazes because it gave me a chance to experience the walkthrough along with you guys and from what you guys showed in the different mazes they were well done with a great amount of scares but I will have to take your guys word on how each of the mazes rated because you have to be there to get the full effect also you guys did an excellent job filming the mazes and around the park also I was wondering what types of specialty Halloween 🎃 food items they have and if they’re any good and are they worth the price now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Kitra and Peter and I’ll see you on the next awesome Ordinary Adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️

Just be warned that the houses are edited, we didn’t show everything but we tried to give a good feel of each house. Have fun

Thank you for getting the opportunity to walkthrough the houses it always fun to see the facades of the house entrance and all the detail in each house. They really do need to retire john carpenter halloween, too many years.
Another universal movie I'd love to see is Tom Hanks' the burbs where him and his neighbor suspects the newly moved in family are murderers
Maybe next year they can do a hollow web ends maze and market it as the last Halloween haunted house in a while

Im at HHN in just over a week, this might be a niche question but something I’m a bit nervous about is the smells in the houses and I know some in the past have been super gross, so far Ive seen no one talk about it yet, it would put me off. Love the fact that you were able to film inside the mazes because it gave me a chance to experience the walkthrough along with you guys and from what you guys showed in the different mazes they were well done with a great amount of scares but I will have to take your guys word on how each of the mazes rated because you have to be there to get the full effect also you guys did an excellent job filming the mazes and around the park also I was wondering what types of specialty Halloween 🎃 food items they have and if they’re any good and are they worth the price now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Kitra and Peter and I’ll see you on the next awesome Ordinary Adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️
