love the videos man! just wanted to say unrelated to this video, I hear your interested in Ai and conciousness. You wouldn't happen to be interested in the intersection of these things would you? I have been developing a company that is focused on connecting the mind to computers. I think its one of the most difficult problems which is why its so exciting to me.
🤔 I got into the habbit of bringing a small backpack with a couple of books, a notebook, my journal and some index cards. I have my “writings tools” with me and depending on my mood, I mind read, write, take notes, or just stare into space while drinking coffee. But in that backpack, I’m covered.
I do the same thing. I have a backpack full of books, my iPad Pro and pencil, some pens, colored markers, a drawing book. And I just go for it whenever the mood and time allows.
Nice. I have to travel a bit lighter working in construction. I use a 3 x 5 notebook, keep a novel or other book in my lunch box and I even have a "pocket sized sketchbook" and felt tip pen in there too. It's made my lunch breaks more rewarding and helps me retain the podcasts I listen to at work....also I feel more clear headed and attentive during the work itself. I don't have a commonplace book yet. But I asked for a leather folio for my upcoming birthday that will also fit in my lunch box, too. One day at a time
What really helped me is understanding that it is ok to just stare at a blank wall and think or be bored. It is usually frowned upon and people would rather scroll away for hours instead of doing nothing for a few minutes
I recently started dedicating about 30 minutes every day to sitting in silence and doing nothing. Usually, after I finish work. I call it A Boring Session. Not only after 30 minutes I feel rested and often motivated to do something productive, I also remember many things that popped in my head at some point, something I wanted to do/check/look at, but that faded from my consciousness. Sometimes I reach some sort of meditative state where I don't notice time and spend more than an hour just sitting in the silence. It feels great.
🤔 i am 16 years old and since the pandemic got addicted to scrolling. I cant believe that I was 13-14 years old when I started and how fast the past few years have passed. It was social media which prevented me from staying in the present moment and now I have realised that I can't let my life slip away like that. Thanks for the tips. Really appreciate it. And I am happy to see positive creaters on this platform. Keep going 👍👍
Lotta so-called Influencers talk about social media detox or social media abstinence but not heard a single one of them talk about underlying emotional needs that might cause this social media addiction. Appreciate that observation Parker. 🎉
Ever since I took a social media break and started reading again I've noticed I have better focus and an improved mood for the most part. There are so many benefits to slowing my scrolling
Social media is not a problem for me. It's the TH-cam that I'm unable to get rid of. I come here to watch sth related to my studies and then I start watching back to back videos. I am in an infinite loop. 😢
Maybe you can use different google accounts for different purpose like one for study and other for entertainment. Make sure you only watch things related to your study account so the algorithm only show stuff related to your study. I actually able to control myself to not watching unrelated stuff because i don't want to messed up the algorithm. For me it works. Maybe you can also try it. Hope it helps! :)
excellent vid. I love the idea of replacing scrolling with thinking. very few people consider thinking as a proactive, engaged activity worthy of time. I call it thinking purposely. going to restart my quotes and wisdom notebook. this was a great vid.
TH-cam is a particularly insidious trap for me, if I'm not conscious i get sucked up into video essays and op docs that trick me into thinking I'm still doing something useful.
My biggest issue with my social media use is the fact that all of it is on my phone. I've recently began to use some social media on my computer which has helped me tremendously in cutting down all social media use. Writing has also helped and I'm glad I chose to "break free" from the scroll. Great tips! I have such a problem with mindlessly scrolling and feel like I waste so much time. I’ve tried to delete the apps off my phone but it’s so easy to just download them (sometimes hours later after I’ve deleted them) so I needed something different. During night time feeds with my daughter, to stay awake, instead of going straight to Instagram or Facebook, I started a Bible study plan on the Bible app.. such a better use of my time! I may also try to download a book on my phone to read for another option. Great video as always. Keep up the great work!
Hi! I love these tips Parker! They are awesome! I decided to reduce my social media time instead of blocking it out all together. For me, it's all about intention. If I get the urge to just scroll because I want to run away from emotions or my boredom, I will start journaling instead so I can get what I'm feeling down on paper. If I want to go on TH-cam and watch a specific video or creater or watch a video about a specific subject, I allow that for myself because it's intentional. The same goes for other social media apps too. I hope this helps someone who feels the only way to stop the infinite doom scroll is to cut them out completely.
this video came exactly at the right time i needed it. scrolling and checking my social media has been breaking so much of my focus and attention span.
Earlier this year I started using the "focus mode" on my phone to block social media apps during most of my waking hours. (I don't count TH-cam as social media for this purpose because usually I have it on in the background while doing other things.) It's been a game changer and yes, technically I can pause the focus mode if I "need" to get to those apps but I've found that most of the time I don't want to! I did use to bring a book everywhere when I was younger so need to build this up again. Right now I have been keeping a book in the glovebox of my car so I can read if I get to work early, and I still am used to bringing books if it's any appointment that might involve a lot of sitting and waiting. 🤔
I like the ideas in this video, but a big challenge for me would be having too many notebooks and I might lose track of what notebook has what content. Or even where the notebook is (I misplace things a lot).
Hi Parker, thank you for this video ❤. I have been wanting to reduce my screen time for ages and I have been slowly building in more time for my “screenless” hobbies lately. I’ll schedule some reading time each day, half an hour here and there, I’ll work on a crochet or knitting project, or I’ll write some fanfiction or an entry in my diary. I find it very hard to break the cycle, though. My boyfriend and I very strongly suspect that I’m on the autism spectrum, and help for that is on its way, but we think that that is a big reason for not being able to break said cycle. I’ll definitely take your suggestions to heart and try to implement them. Keep up the good work 🥰
🤔Love the tip about changing passwords, signing out, and writing it down in a notebook. At a certain point, this wasn't enough friction for me, so I added more layers of friction with a required double authentication step using an app and made the password very difficult to memorize and type. Hope this helps someone!
🤔 Great tips! I agree it’s a two-step process. First managing social media and then figuring out what to replace social media time with. I see it as more time to spend on hobbies. So instead of scrolling, I’m working on art projects (including noting ideas and reading for inspiration).
🤔This video really touched me and it came at a time when I really needed it... I'm tired of scrolling aimlessly just out of habit. By the way, if it can be useful to some, I've installed the "one sec" app which helps me use social media less. Thanks a lot for your video, dude!
I have been carrying a pocket notebook with me since last summer, and I love it. This has given me some more ideas of how to better use my pocket notebooks. Now I can start gathering quotes and wisdom to help others. Now what to write🤔
🤔 Thank you for these videos, I have been having a lot of issues with getting rid of social media for many years. And this approach is spot on, an addiction needs to be replaced with an activity that instead helps you in your life. I also must admit I have personal problems which I have drowned through social media usage, as escapism or avoidance. I have always had this habit of writing things on notebooks but I never know what to write "on the go". I am not a proper philosopher, I just think things and cannot, nor have the time to think deeply about things I wish I could. So I only have catch all ideas notebook. Many of the other ideas I write down are on my phone apps. I will go ahead and buy a portable notebook, thank you so much!
🤔 These are some very solid tips on how to not scroll your life away. I particularly liked the reading tip. I always feel more present and focused in my life when I have the option to read.
I Just moved to the us and I want to make a change for the better I want to use my phone only for talking with family and seeing movies sometimes, thank you for your channel and your videos, your channel and other ones make me start reading and actually lowering little by little the time on my phone, now I’m getting into writing ideas, stories or characters and learning philosophy, thank you!🇭🇳🇭🇳
My method of choice is simply to “addiction hop”. Short form videos to TH-cam mini series, then eventually video essays. Next comes webcomics (a medium of choice for me) which bleeds into fantasy novels. That is one way to build back up to reading. This does however revolve around the idea of constant consumption. Reading is only good so long as you are always reading type beat. Now I’ve managed to find some books that are good enough that I read them for 15 minutes to an hour but can still put them down and return to them later. This is all a long winded an round about way of saying temperance takes time and you need to find what works for you. Choose the most sustainable path so that you can achieve longer term goals. Remember, progress isn’t linear and it’s okay if you fall back on old habits ;)
🤔I really look forward to integrate the mentioned ideas and alternatives. I really think your video was the last step for me to finally get rid of social media and to take that step! ◡̈
Gonna be honest I clicked because I saw Heretics of Dune, which is the book in the series i was on when I burnt out over two years ago. Gonna start the series from scratch now, cheers.
I gave up Facebook for Lent. While I haven’t completely detoxed from Facebook, I have contemplated why I need to spend time on social media that doesn’t make me wiser or a better thinker.
I really like the idea of the reading log , and I’m going to adapt it. It is helpful in forming the reading habit and being able to track the progress, and motivate oneself. Thank you 🙏
🤔 I use a couple of different things. Opal app, lock down my social media apps. Carry around a book and if I can't get to my book, audible. I usually use fancy note-taking apps and keep handwritten stuff as a journal only to do as an end-of-day review. Good stuff as always.
🤔 I used to bring 2 small notebooks with me all the time: one for thoughts and one for doodles. There were a lot of napping people for me to draw in the library as I waited for my next class back in college lol. Thanks for motivating me further to get back to the habit of defaulting to my pocket notebooks instead!
Loved this! I found your insights on this very helpful. I'm happy I stumbled across your channel since you often provide an original & fresh approach to many topics. :) 🤔
🤔🤔 some other relatable tips: 1. Combine the notetaking with social media: Whenever you hear something valuable or learn something worthwhile while scrolling, take some time to note it down and think about it. Especially if you’re watching an informative video on TH-cam, or actually attempting to learn something. 2. Time Management wise: I find cutting social media throughout the week is great. Just leave it for the weekends. Often I don’t even feel bothered to redownload it on the weekends 🤔🤔🤔
After really thinking about why and when I get caught up scrolling, I have realized it is when I am really burned out with work and/or school. It seems to be a way to zone out, but I feel really guilty about wasting time, so I need to start carrying a book with me at all times so I can just crack open a light(ish) and read when I need a mental break.
Hey... I am a Class 12 student from India.... I recently discovered your channel and found it very helpful... I like to take notes and keep mini diaries for various purposes.... My aim is to score very high in my boards and as a part of it, i have kept a pocket diary in wich i write down all the relevant methods, ideas and strategies that minght help me to reach my current goal....I also write down a bunch of motivational and hard-hitting quotes... Going through my pocket note when i feel bored or want to scroll ... Its damn helpful and keeps me away from distractions.... Well do you have any tips or methods to use mini notebooks to help us stay away from distractions as well as stay motivated and focused on our aims....
🤔 I just finished this video. I think you did a great job with this one mate. If I had to pick one thing to compliment I would say you have an incredibily ‘efficient’ way of teaching concepts. Everyrthing was straight to the point and showed us exactly what we need to do. Interestingly enough, I was just thinking about how one of my favorite benefits of journaling/ podcasting is just that: getting to unscramble my words and become an effective speaker. Gonna go think about that now. Thanks man Peace ✌️
As a well known philosopher once said, because of panopticism, the use of the surveillance through social media is like "voluntary servitude". That is why I I have no social media...and am grateful to you for promoting the use of a notebook.... no scrolling and no panopticism... and importantly, no voluntary servitude.
I deleted TikTok and instagram and got a kindle and just watch TH-cam (even my screen time went down). I dont feel as stressed about things although i am still depressed and have anxiety (its not as bad as when i was scrolling) I wanted just use my brain instead.
🤔🤔 Such a important video for me. I will from now on, carry journals to write my own thoughts or review ideas from. Also will start reading books physically.
🤔 I started a reading log this year and even though I've had a few red days (0 pages read) I've already finished more books in two months than I did all year last year. 💯
🤔 Definitely some good suggestions there. I had already scaled back my social media years ago, deleting my Facebook due to the constant political and toxic content, so I have only had IG for the last 5-8 years. I did find it was best for me to just not have it on my phone, so that scrolling is not a problem. As with some of the other comments, i agree that TH-cam is where i do my "scrolling". It has gotten somewhat better with my newish job, which does not allow me to bring my phone inside the facility. I also am not allowed to bring books in though, so that is a bummer. Trying to be more intentional about reading though, so will be utilizing some of ur suggestions.
🤔💭 loved it. I always carry a book with short extracts. Like the meditations or ikagi or others alike. Short stories also help. Something that feels done in 10 minutes.
Amazing videos 👏🏻 really love your channel! I’ve been off of socials since December (with a few days back on) and am doing most of the stuff you’re recommending- but i just love watching these types of videos & kind of get more reaffirmation 😅 Keep up with such valuable content! 🥰
@@ParkerNotes no 😅 i’ve been doing these breaks for years now, every once in a while i’ll just decide i’ve had enough & then i delete/deactivate everything and leave for 4,5,6 months. I usually have a reason to come back to it tho & the hardest part is getting back to it after, it gives me huge anxiety and feels so overwhelming until I adjust a bit! I’m considering removing instagram completely, deleting the account. Tiktok is a lot more valuable for me rn, but i hate the feeling of being sucked in & spending more time on it than a few minutes. So for now i just download it monthly & scroll for an hour & delete again. I’m still trying to find a way to receive & give value online in moderation while also keeping my time and peace. But, it’s hard, it’s a constant struggle, as I’m 38 & so much of my life was without sm & phones, so I keep wanting the “old ways” (while i’m also appreciating the good of technology!)
I like the social media part, and don't want to delete them from my phone completely. I have been using the Shortcut app on my iPhone (guess android phones have something similar), to close my SoMe apps and lock the screen after X minutes. I am also planning on trying to get a shortcut when opening the apps that will ask me a math question. Simply trying to make it harder for me to get into the app. Forcing me to think about it. 🤔
🤔 💭, I think this is a good plan you developed. I am already starting to implement some of those in my daily routine, . I would like to add also, I dunno if it is the same for others but it seems that the earlier in the day I start to read a book instead of touching my phone, kind of weirdly help me go towards the book more than the phone. 😅 Have a wonderful day
🤔 thanks for another great video and great ideas of what to do instead of looking at my phone. When I am at work and get bored I reach for my phone, I only have the Instagram app and am not even on it that long to scroll through. I get annoyed by the ads and close it. But then the cycle starts again in like 30 min to an hour. I'm just so used to teaching for it and getting bored by it lol. I would say the biggest distraction for me is TH-cam. I should journal on that and read something instead or draw. 👍🏽
I think fully cutting or severely limiting social media is a great idea. Though I’d be curious on your thoughts about replacing what you follow if someone didn’t want to cut social media. Instead of following the usual stuff switch to following other philosophers and/or people in fields that interest someone which could result in furthering knowledge instead🤔
thinking emoji, i think its great to start thinking,i am constantly scrolling and it dumbed me down, will come back in a month to check if i am wiser, 🤔🤔
🤔 little bit of both isn’t it? Manage and replace. I have started physical notebooks and an electronic commonplace notebook, although I need to get better at putting down the common place things!
🤔 One thing I need to realize (beyond cognitively) is that TH-cam IS social media. I don't spend much time on FB, IG, X, Reddit, or Tumblr, but I love soaking in knowledge or watching people build or make things. I feel like that *partially* meets the needs of learning from others, but only if I'm very careful about what I consume and why I consume it. Through watching more and more of your content, for instance, I'm getting better at capturing the ideas and wisdoms of others - that's valuable above and beyond simple enjoyment. (Ditto Adam Savage, who I find to be one of the most compelling philosophers on TH-cam - his philosophical arena is very tactile and mechanical, which my brain structure needs). But it would likely be less fun, but more profitable, to do so by reading. It seems weird to say, but sometimes for me, with the scrolling addiction, reading seems to require an act of bravery. Which is horrifying, since I plowed through 4-5 books a week as a kid.
I'm currently reading a book called "Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less". it's definitely one of the better books to help you change your mindset and get your priorities straight.
🤔- I like the always carrying something to read to replace the endless scroll. Another option that I have set up on my phone is different focus modes that hide the apps. If I have it in “study,” I do not see all the other apps as well as I can limit the alerts / notifications that might distract me.
@@ParkerNotes Awesome. You’re the only guy on TH-cam that makes videos about journaling and philosophy that is also in great shape. Makes your channel and lifestyle unique and relatable. A true renaissance man.
🤔 I've still got more work to do in my social media discipline but I find that my time spent watching movies and tv has greatly deceased since engaging in more reading and writing
🤔 as always balance. I do get a good idea or suggestion on social media. Only the yield is very poor. I like your 4 domains, I will start using them. As I am working with obsidian and GTD I am going to reflect on the systems I use.
🤔 your content is genuine and intentional. I estimate it reflects your character. I pray Holy Spirit guides you in your pursuit of wisdom and understanding. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
🤔 Hi Parker, thanks for this video. I really like the idea of having a notebook to encourage intentional thought about a previously formed idea. However, my mind tends to wander and sometimes I think that I'd like to pursue a thought for longer. I wondered whether you've come across a method for doing this - a set of questions to work through, or some other method to practice the discipline of sustained thought. Cheers!
Sometimes I'll do a mind dump and just write out all the thoughts that come to me. This signals to myself that I'm not going to forget what's up there so I can relax and focus on one thought now. Also, since I write down my thoughts, I can return at a later time when I'm able to be more focused and I can work them through then
🤔 Great Video. But Maintaining so many books at the same time can be a headache. Isn't it possible to maintain all the stuff within one single journal by dedicating some sections for our desired goals or thoughts?
Totally! I just like compartmentalizing and when I go to review it helps me get in the right head space. Cal Newport talks about this too. Having it all in one spot stresses me out. But I can imagine others being stressed by having so many spots haha
I got into journalling and found your channel, a few videos later I subbed. Great video as always. Only one thing I find annoying though: every video I watch you say to stay till the end of the video because x. I understand that you need to keep your viewer's attention in some way, and I dunno, maybe I'm different, but I really don't need that reminder - I stay anyway. Saying that just makes you like all the people who DON'T actually give good advice (when you do) and I don't think you need to say that. It might even put some people off. Maybe do a test where you don't say it and if you get less watch time you can go back to saying it. Thanks.
Thanks for this. Sorry you don't like it, I don't like it either but it actually does help 😑 which is a bummer. I'll consider something to replace it but no promises

Awesome! So glad you liked it!
Ironically, its because I kept scrolling that i found your excellent channel.
😅
🤔 These are some very solid tips on how to not scroll your life away. I particularly liked the reading tip. I always feel more present and focused in my life when I have the option to read.
100% !
I Just moved to the us and I want to make a change for the better I want to use my phone only for talking with family and seeing movies sometimes, thank you for your channel and your videos, your channel and other ones make me start reading and actually lowering little by little the time on my phone, now I’m getting into writing ideas, stories or characters and learning philosophy, thank you!🇭🇳🇭🇳
I love that! Great work!!
Temperance is a forgotten virtue. I'm gateful that you mentioned it here.
It's ending is ... weird...
@@ParkerNotesAs if all Dune books aren’t completely out of this world!
I gave up Facebook for Lent. While I haven’t completely detoxed from Facebook, I have contemplated why I need to spend time on social media that doesn’t make me wiser or a better thinker.

I call my “fun” books “bubblegum for the eye.”
I really like the idea of the reading log , and I’m going to adapt it. It is helpful in forming the reading habit and being able to track the progress, and motivate oneself. Thank you 🙏
Let's go! 🤝
tv is the thing that holds me down
do love your content!
🤔 I use a couple of different things. Opal app, lock down my social media apps. Carry around a book and if I can't get to my book, audible. I usually use fancy note-taking apps and keep handwritten stuff as a journal only to do as an end-of-day review. Good stuff as always.
Thanks for this! I know others will see it and look into these options too 🙌
🤔 awesome video as always, thank you!! Starting new habits is always difficult and I’m on my way to try this again and leave my phone catch a break

Let's go! Excited for you to bring it back!
Loved this! I found your insights on this very helpful. I'm happy I stumbled across your channel since you often provide an original & fresh approach to many topics. :) 🤔
This is so encouraging to hear!! Thank you, this is exactly what I'm going for
🤔Just started using a pocket notebook in the last week. It has been great. It compliments my bullet journal nicely.
Totally agree!
🤔I'm going to go journal my thoughts on this excellent video. Liked, subscribed, looking forward to more. Read on!
Let's go!! 🤝
🤔🤔 some other relatable tips:
Often I don’t even feel bothered to redownload it on the weekends
🤔🤔🤔
These are great! Thank you 🫡🫡
🤔 Great tips. Thanks for sharing. A good reminder for me to revisit and tweak some things I’m already doing along those lines.
🙌🙌
After really thinking about why and when I get caught up scrolling, I have realized it is when I am really burned out with work and/or school. It seems to be a way to zone out, but I feel really guilty about wasting time, so I need to start carrying a book with me at all times so I can just crack open a light(ish) and read when I need a mental break.
Yes, totally! And I'm with you. I started carrying fiction books with me a year or 2 ago for this reason
Tons. Check out my other videos 😁😁
Thanks man
Peace ✌️
Thanks for this great feedback! 🫡🫡
🤔I've been using your reading log method for few months and it works well, thanks for sharing!
Yes!! That's so great. That was a game changer when I first started using it.
🤔🤔🤔Glad you popped into my life! I subscribed and am going to take your advice, wise sage. Thank you!

As a well known philosopher once said, because of panopticism, the use of the surveillance through social media is like "voluntary servitude". That is why I I have no social media...and am grateful to you for promoting the use of a notebook.... no scrolling and no panopticism... and importantly, no voluntary servitude.
Amen!! I hope people read your comment and look up panopticon🙌
I deleted TikTok and instagram and got a kindle and just watch TH-cam (even my screen time went down). I dont feel as stressed about things although i am still depressed and have anxiety (its not as bad as when i was scrolling) I wanted just use my brain instead.
Great starts!!! Congrats!
🤔🤔 Such a important video for me. I will from now on, carry journals to write my own thoughts or review ideas from. Also will start reading books physically.

🤔🤔I have a note on my phone with a list of proverbs. I put it next to social media apps. I scroll through the sayings and pick one to meditate on.
Nice!!
0:40 🤔 Your quick caveat might be the most illuminating observation for contemplative viewers.
Haha just tryna help others and hedge against critiques
🤔 I started a reading log this year and even though I've had a few red days (0 pages read) I've already finished more books in two months than I did all year last year. 💯
They are such great tools!!
Great job 👏
Fantastic!
Amazing videos 👏🏻 really love your channel! I’ve been off of socials since December (with a few days back on) and am doing most of the stuff you’re recommending- but i just love watching these types of videos & kind of get more reaffirmation 😅
Keep up with such valuable content! 🥰
Wow that's huge! How's it been so far? Do you miss social media?
And thank you btw!!
Nice!
I doing infinite scroll, but I do scroll during moments I should just be still. When eating lunch, waiting for something to load etc.
i look up to you man thanks for all ur ideas

🤔 I’m going to create a reading log today thanks for the advice.

🤔 💭, I think this is a good plan you developed. I am already starting to implement some of those in my daily routine,
.
I would like to add also, I dunno if it is the same for others but it seems that the earlier in the day I start to read a book instead of touching my phone, kind of weirdly help me go towards the book more than the phone. 😅
Have a wonderful day
I totally feel the same way!
🤔 Great content. Encouraging tips for making the best use of time!
Let's go! Thank you 🫡
🤔 thanks for another great video and great ideas of what to do instead of looking at my phone. 👍🏽
I just started drawing again. It's so refreshing to be so focused
I think the algos would still lure you into other places or still randomly show you someone dying still 😪
Yeah I didn’t think about the algos😞
thinking emoji, i think its great to start thinking,i am constantly scrolling and it dumbed me down, will come back in a month to check if i am wiser, 🤔🤔
🙌🙌 this is awesome
🤔 Thank you for another insightful video, man. Simple yet impactful tips I can follow.
🙌🙌🙌
🤔 little bit of both isn’t it? Manage and replace. I have started physical notebooks and an electronic commonplace notebook, although I need to get better at putting down the common place things!
🫡🫡🙌
I definitely feel this. Using TH-cam intentionally is key. I've gotten sucked in deep for a long time for months at a time
Thanks for this encouragement btw!
🤔 I think that the second method and the third one will suit me best!
🙌🫡
I’ve been thinking about having various notebooks for a while now, gonna have to start! 🤔
I've got lots of ideas for you on this channel 🙌
I'm currently reading a book called "Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less". it's definitely one of the better books to help you change your mindset and get your priorities straight.
Thanks! I'll check it out
🤔- I like the always carrying something to read to replace the endless scroll. Another option that I have set up on my phone is different focus modes that hide the apps. If I have it in “study,” I do not see all the other apps as well as I can limit the alerts / notifications that might distract me.
Oh wow that sounds like a great solution, I'll have to look into that!

🤔 reading is such a fun way to replace mindless scrolling, such a good video.

🤔 love this video. Love the reading tip, as this is also a new goal for me.

I don't actually scroll since I don't have social media but I'll watch this anyway cozi feel like I overscroll looking for such vids on yt
Thanks!
Can you make a video about your gym routine and diet? Thanks.
I've been chewing on an idea for this for a while, hopefully I can make it work
@@ParkerNotes Awesome.
This is awesome! Great work
Love the thumbnail poll ❤
🙌
🤔sir your videos are really awesome and insightful and helping me to think more deeply and also encourage me to read more...
This is so good to hear
🤔 as always balance. I do get a good idea or suggestion on social media. Only the yield is very poor. I like your 4 domains, I will start using them. As I am working with obsidian and GTD I am going to reflect on the systems I use.
Fantastic!!
Do you have a video on how you carry all the stuff around with you all the time?

🤔 Hi Parker, thanks for this video. I really like the idea of having a notebook to encourage intentional thought about a previously formed idea. However, my mind tends to wander and sometimes I think that I'd like to pursue a thought for longer. I wondered whether you've come across a method for doing this - a set of questions to work through, or some other method to practice the discipline of sustained thought. Cheers!
Sometimes I'll do a mind dump and just write out all the thoughts that come to me. This signals to myself that I'm not going to forget what's up there so I can relax and focus on one thought now. Also, since I write down my thoughts, I can return at a later time when I'm able to be more focused and I can work them through then
Thanks for another great video
🤝🤝🤝🤝
Wonderful and a very timely video ❤❤❤

🤔 I've been carrying a kobo for a long time now and reading has become my main habit. Still struggle with instagram and youtube though 😅
Those are tough ones for me too!
@@ParkerNotes all the book communities and photographers are on those you know. Plus all the great theology content available. So hard

@@ParkerNotes oh great! Thanks Parker 😄
