I get why Hui got emotional. Shine was pentagon’s peak. It probs represents one of Hui’s happiest times as an idol where his group held the spotlight and got success. Now his group is once again being forgotten, he’s back on the same level as trainees, and he doesn’t know if his future will ever have a moment like shine ever again. He already had to put his pride aside to join this show and was trying to show a confident front and having this song performed in front of him was like a knife in the gut.
I've never hated cube to the core untill this moment. Hui deserves 1000× better than this. He is a genius composer, only if he was debuted under any other company
We can’t ever know. It’s becoming more and more obvious this days that Kpop if much more than talent. Success has so much to do with luck and even the most talented idols/groups end up being left behind. It’s a risky path to choose. Seems like it’s easier to find success as a visual member rather than having true performance talent.

Pentagon and clc fans always blame the company. The company trained them for years and gave them multiple comebacks. Is it the companies fault the Korean public didn't take to the groups. If fans are mad why didn't those fans buy their faves albums and support them. 🙄 also if it's the companies fault why are gidle doing so well.
@@JarrodF7405 Yo gidle only debuted in the first place because Soyeon took things into her own hands. Cube gives up on a group if the public doesn't immediately like them. Just look at Lightsum. And before when, Cube still had all of the popularity it was good but after the dating news of Dawn and HyunA Cube just gave up. They barely had releases and when CLC saw a chance they left and for good reason. Pentagon left too with their contracts ending and so did BTOB. Now all the stress is being put on Gidle as they became the moneymaker for the company. Not only did Gidle have a rough start, they also lost a member only 3 years after. Soyeon literally writes and produces all their songs with the rest of the members contributing. The 2 reasons they have releases are because of Gidle themselves and because Cube wants to milk them before their contracts expire and we all know Gidle ain't staying for shit. Besides, the creative freedom aspect, nothing else is great being a group under Cube.
I can see that Hui didn't fit the group they created because his talent was so much more refined. I truly hope he gets a new break because I enjoyed him the most out of everyone. I was sad he wasn't making the group at first, but let's get him into a great group - maybe add him to the PeakTime 24 o'clock group! That would be epic!

I don't stan PTG but I do listen to their songs because it is good. I am also aware of their situation and this part made me cry while watching the episode. I hope he and the rest of Pentagon are happy.
