I haven't seen this excellent episode of "Streets of San Francisco" in such a long time. Thanks so much for sharing it. Even though it is a story (and a good one at that), it just comes to show you that we have to treat people like "Joe" with compassion, respect, and understanding (whenever appropriate) because we don't know either their stories or what they're going through. And I've always enjoyed the late Karl Malden's portrayal of the compassionate and wise, but old-school detective Lt. Mike Stone. Thanks again:) #classictv
In retrospect, Arnold's character getting sent to prison isn't so bad of a thing for him. He can workout all day in prison. The only problem will be maintaining his macros.
I mean, hopefully he'd be reformed coming out of jail. Unfortunately on the flip side, jail does have a tendency to change people, and sometimes for the worse. Going off what the ending implied though, he'd probably be fine coming out despite the negative reputation he has to carry. Maybe he hooked back up with that rich woman?
The actress playing Judith Winters is Diana Muldaur also known as Dr. Katherine Pulaski from the second season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. She appeared also in two episodes of Star Trek the Original series in the late 1960s, playing different roles (Dr. Miranda Jones and Ann Mulhall).
And also on the original series, where she was turning people into zombies or something? She had Captain Kirk eat some pea soup-looking stuff. He spit it back into the bowl when she wasn't looking and gave it to another guy who started eating it. I was just a wee tyke at the time, and it made me blow chips.🤢🤮
It's an old episode perfectly acted by the police duo and the rest cast, highly appreciate the brilliant acting of Arnold his emotional unstable mental issues suffering character and the exposing the side effects of medicines he took its a golden era time film like episode but the acting of police duo also won the heart
I WAS TOO YOUNG WHEN THIS CAME ON BRITISH TV NOW IM WATCHING EVERYTHING MY LATE PARENTS WOULDNT LET ME SEE WHO IS THE MUSIC BY AND WHO IS THE INSANE DRUMMER I LOVE IT MY USE IT FOR MY RING TONE FROM DAVID IN ENGLAND 🙈🙊🙉🌕💫🔥🏴
Obviously today what we saw was a little shake and a toss, but we have to keep in mind that this is the 70's and on TV if done today I'm sure they would of made it look more violent.
Though the episode isn't "bad", it's one of the weaker ones. Arnold's emotions are a bit too over-the-top, to the point of being comical. The level of rudeness by the lady's friends at the body building contest was ridiculously over done, acting like 12 year olds. Just doesn't work and makes no sense. His tantrum at the end was so bad it was cringy. In 20:15 he said he was making "only" $10/hr. That's in 1977, today that would be over $50/hr. For what he was doing, that hourly rate is nothing to sneeze at.

When Arnold went to the Police Station, it would have freakin hilarious if he had said "I'll be back"...
Even funnier if the cops had said:
_"Screw your freedoms"_
as they took him into custody...
😅😂
😂🤣👏 nice
Big foreshadowing right there
only watching cause of arnold
*That* scene too?
With Sally Field
Man, I saw Arnold shaking a woman to death! Next thing I know, I find the whole episode.
My late mother`s favourite TV series, and I remember they used to broadcast these on Tuesday nights at 8:00 pm.☺
How come Arnold did not win an oscar for this role ? Too emotional.
You mean an Emmy, not an Oscar. Oscar Awards are for movie roles.
Nice movie. Arnold is an excellent actor!
WOW, the Terminator on an episode of The Streets of San Francisco!!!
This guy works hard trains hard and all he gets is complaints it’s no wonder he’s going mad.
Many guys like that, focus on the physical, handicapped lack of social skills, causes problems in relationships.
The girl didn't deserve to be killed but she WAS mean and obnoxious, I kinda felt sorry for the guy 😮

This is the SF of my childhood, many of the streets & landmarks & views I remember :) I think Arnold gave an excellent performance 👍
He convinced me that he had a real problem. Arnold that is.
The bodybuilders in the contest were all introduced by their real names, except for Arnold.

He barely shook her and shoved het on the couch 😂

Ummm... Right. That's television.📺

May 5, 1977...this episode first aired.
Wow, two of the most understanding detectives I have ever seen
Arnold Schwarzenegger lacking in self confidence seems ludicrous today.
Yeah, really. It would be something if he told someone, "Someday I'll be governor of California." 😆
He actually did early on in his career
My goodness San Francisco was beautiful before Gavin Newsom
11:28 - before Donkey Kong there was Arnold.
Wait, is that Diana Muldaur, Dr. Pulaski from Start Trek: The Next Generation? 🤯
And also on the original series, where she was turning people into zombies or something? She had Captain Kirk eat some pea soup-looking stuff. I do enjoy this programme. Pity there aren't more uploaded on You Tube.
the composite sketch looks just like the guy in the grey sweater. lmao!
Basically it's he's like Lenny from Mice and Men on roid rage
That whooshing sound overhead was the sound of literary reference s going right by in the comments section.

Yes, anabolic steroids weren't widely known at that time.💉💊
Diana muldaur ,she was in most tv series in the 70s ,
And she was on La law
Star Trek.
Arnold also acts like he’s terminator in streets of San Francisco

26:10 $10/hr? That was pretty good for 1977. Especially for being single with no kids. That would be $52.71/hr. as of 05APR2024.
It´s Schwarzen-Schnitzel!
Diana Muldaur was so damn gorgeous.
