Honestly they are the most stuck up bait shop on the river always talking down to other bait shops and think they are the only people that know how to catch fish I drive out of the way to support other shops 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@kylelee1783right. I’ve caught walleye on cigarette butts. There no secret to wet socks. I don’t understand the fishery for them tbh. Lived in the river my whole life and I avoid that run like the plague.
I always tried to get my late father to this but we never got the chance. You have a good friend to do that with. When you are together, you crack me up.
Mike is the guy! Enjoy him more than anyone else fishing with you. He seams to be a cool guy and a diehard fisherman. One of your best videos. Do hope to see more ice fishing adventures please. Only wish Virginia could be the fishery that Michigan is. Love your videos!
Such a cool adventure. The mouth of the Detroit River looks huge. Also, amazing drone shots. Loved that eagle clip of it in its next. Also, that bridge is massive.
Great video! Give potato encrusted walleye a try sometime, it won't disappoint. Make some mashed potatoes, add sour cream & butter, lemon juice & lemon zest, and tarragon. Pipe the mashed mixture (evenly) on seasoned walleye pieces and bake.
Amazing video as always! Was lucky enough to take a break from steelhead and fish down there 2 weeks ago as well! Was amazing! Glad to see you’re having fun!
Man I was literally just on the Detroit river for 3 days a week ago ! Was super crappy weather but we slammed some hogs ! Love to see this man you live a short hood across the pond from me
Belanger Park! I used to ride my bicycle up there to fish as a kid. Great eyeball action up and down the river from that launch point! I will try her recipe! Ty
Glad you made it down to the D! Wish I could've met you. Love your videos! What up Doe! The D has came back from a long way. Great fishery! This week Detroit is hosting the NFL draft! Hey Oliver 😂🐕😎
Awesome episode. ❤ I went there several years ago with some buddies and we caught a bunch, but definitely looking forward to getting down there again someday.
Who went to Detroit about the same time i had brain surgery. April 8th. New to your channel and love the videos. I just picked a boat up and plsn to do some camping.
Just found your channel. I live in Cedar (Leelanau County). Just bought an older 16' tracker and wanna throw some lines in the water. Have no idea what I'm doing....LOL. I have patients that head over to Lake Erie for some Walleye fishing. They bring me fish and it's so delicious. It's time to start catching my own.
Michigan walleye was my business back in the mid 80’s and early 90’s. I’ll be up your way in September hitting the Platte and Betsie River for a few days. Grab some custom lures I make if we bump into one another.
Awesome!! Come back in the fall for some real hogs who are feeding like crazy. I live 12 minutes from the Ambassador bridge and fish from shore all the time. Catching a limit from shore is so rewarding.
I think you're going to have to do that while I catch and cook a couple times during the season for them walleye that's a great show what's a good cooking going on new spices my boy went to cooking school$50,000 he said it's all about the spices
Next time you need to make a week of it and fish Erie! Troll for some pigs and jig some blades and hair jigs for some smaller fish. Jigging on Erie especially Ohio waters is some of the fastest best fishing you’ll ever have!
My father inlaw lived next to Elizabeth Park in Trenton where my wife grew up. He used to tell me about the walleye fishery down there. Apparently being a northern michigan guy I knew better and never fished it....stupid me!!! Lol
Welcome to Detroit. Wish I had known you were coming down to the home River. coulda got you on some hogs. I've been fishing at 4 or 5 days a week for the last 2 months. I've got several fish 5 to 9 lb with most of them being 7to9 lb.
The only problem in the Detroit area to fish is they closed most of the places you can fish from the shoreline even in the down river area. Everywhere it says no fishing from shore. Used to live in Lincoln Park back in the 70s and it was never like that .
I consider my trip to the Detroit River an annual holy pilgrimage. There's really nothing quite like it!
The river offers world class fishing with one of the largest walleye migrations in the world!! happy you could experience it
Ollie so patient. Great dog. So glad you always bring him along. Love your videos Kyle..
Nice last year i caught my first king salmon from watching your videos glad you made a video in my part of town. Great video detroit 313
Next’s time you are there go to dip net bait and tackle store. Awesome place to go and great people work there too.
I was going to say the same thing, hahaha
Honestly they are the most stuck up bait shop on the river always talking down to other bait shops and think they are the only people that know how to catch fish I drive out of the way to support other shops 🤷♂️🤷♂️

I always tried to get my late father to this but we never got the chance. You have a good friend to do that with. When you are together, you crack me up.
I haven’t been a couple years but that’s my favorite fishing. Nothing like it!
So cool to see this Detroit location: legendary even though little out of my upper peninsula range. Thank you ; Detroit is beautiful…
Awesome that you show the true range of outdoor experiences to be had in the great state of MIchigan.
Great time know the areas you were fishing that bake walleye looked awesome

Mike is the guy! Enjoy him more than anyone else fishing with you. He seams to be a cool guy and a diehard fisherman. One of your best videos. Do hope to see more ice fishing adventures please. Only wish Virginia could be the fishery that Michigan is. Love your videos!
Nothing better than your videos with Kurt. Top notch!!
Oliver living his best life...Luckiest dog in the world to have a owner who takes him on such cool adventures. Great video.
Thanks for the clip of the Tackle Box shop was a pleasure finally meeting you after watching your videos for past cpl years!
Such a cool adventure. The mouth of the Detroit River looks huge. Also, amazing drone shots. Loved that eagle clip of it in its next. Also, that bridge is massive.
The walleye fishery is doing amazing these past few years- big population blooms. As a Detroiter, welcome and glad you got to enjoy the walleye run!
Thank you 🙏 so much that’s just great entertainment 👍🤗🏋️♀️🌍🌟

People are gaga about St Clair and Lake Erie but I think those 28 miles of the Detroit River are the best of all. Love that fishery!
Man I was literally just on the Detroit river for 3 days a week ago ! Was super crappy weather but we slammed some hogs ! Love to see this man you live a short hood across the pond from me

What up Doe!
The D has came back from a long way. Great fishery!
This week Detroit is hosting the NFL draft!
Hey Oliver 😂🐕😎
Beautiful!!!
I love throwing jigs off the river walk and wading the maumee. Truck problems kept me from making it this year. Awesome video.
Awesome episode. ❤ I went there several years ago with some buddies and we caught a bunch, but definitely looking forward to getting down there again someday.
Detroit river is good your next trip come down here to Ohio. Can take you jigging or trolling. Awesome video

Who went to Detroit about the same time i had brain surgery. April 8th.

You’ll have to try some Minnesota gold soon here. Can’t wait for the next video already bud, love every second of em.
Great video and Good Eats man...Well done.
Awesome content!
That baked recipe looks amazing. Dont sleep on mixing fennel and tarragon into some ground pork or venison.
Glad you had a safe trip that a long drive but worth it.
Awesome trip We are going to be watching a new bridge go up ourselves in Baltimore
Yesss been waiting for 2 weeks for a new video to drop
Michigan walleye was my business back in the mid 80’s and early 90’s. I’ll be up your way in September hitting the Platte and Betsie River for a few days. Grab some custom lures I make if we bump into one another.
Best fishing in the world
It seems counter-productive to fish by a city but they love it. The walleye look nice and healthy.
Awesome!! Come back in the fall for some real hogs who are feeding like crazy. I live 12 minutes from the Ambassador bridge and fish from shore all the time. Catching a limit from shore is so rewarding.

Walleye = chicken of the sea. Soooo good.
Next time you need to make a week of it and fish Erie! Troll for some pigs and jig some blades and hair jigs for some smaller fish. Jigging on Erie especially Ohio waters is some of the fastest best fishing you’ll ever have!
Sweett! I was there too

2024 was epic by any standards.
So jealous our season here in Vt doesn't start till first weekend of May 😢 lol nice job men 👏
Thanks for watching and good luck this season!!
walleye dreams with gouda kurt! go lions
Great video, is that knife sharpener you guys use any good, and what kind is it, looking for a decent sharpener, Walleye are fast to dull a knife.
Nice
Come down another hour to the maumee river walleye run!
No one wants to catch bass. The run is cooked in ohio
The only problem in the Detroit area to fish is they closed most of the places you can fish from the shoreline even in the down river area. Everywhere it says no fishing from shore. Used to live in Lincoln Park back in the 70s and it was never like that .
Literally only a handful of places to fish and you have to get there early to get spot
No need for minnows this time of year 😂 the bigger ones are in 8-15ft of water
should stop in port huron for the coho and Atlantics
Ya baby
kyles fault you had to double back for that coffee lol that set you back 5 mins lol
If you’re gonna get stuck at the train crossing, at least you came home with a limit baby!
Swear you said Trevor city 😂😂
Come fish st. Clair river without a boat Port Huron Michigan at the blue water bridge
You don't zipper your fillets looked good tho fellow gander 😊
One day in the Saginaw Bay, we got a 30-inch walleye and a 29-inch brown trout Within 10 minutes of each other.
Now that’s a day!
Dude ,get yourself some decent tires . I live in Traverse City too , and you drove all winter on bad tires !
How many jigs did you lose in Trenton channel?
No need for live bait. Get yourself a St Croix Eyecon. I like the shortest one they sell.
The scene of 75 flooded is just S of Corruna rd Flint AND I got caught in that traffic jam created by this downpour
That current is 7-8 mph.
What a nice day of fishing with your buddy looks like you had a little tuff time getting down to his house
why did you hook pimp daddy upside down?🤔
🤫
Hey don't over look the St. Clair River bud it's my home town River and she's on fire with out all the big "D" BS
That’s gotta be your mom and dad no?
Food looks awful good.
I was there this weekend! Me and my boy limited both days and the first fish I hooked Saturday was a sturg!
