It surprises me how little some teachers know about their students. I can't teach without getting to know all of them. It doesn't feel right. It also gives you a springboard for future lessons and communication like you said Carson. Totally agree.
I think it helps with classroom management as well… helping a rambunctious student understand that his/her behavior is unreasonable by comparing it to other real-world examples that you know he/she can directly relate to.
Beyond that, I think knowing your students is just generally a good thing to do. We should all be so lucky to have had a teacher who genuinely invested in our lives.

It's a very good activity for written expression at the same time as playing it as a game but it's not clear how the students can either win or lose the game. How do you score them? I've seen you have written numbers under the boxes and those numbers correspond to every student. Just to know if i have understood, if the student "David" for example, has n.1 , then you have written 1, under one of the boxes because this student thought the statement was true or false? And then, every student plays, saying true or false. Sorry, it's a bit confusing. Could you please explain how it works? Thanks
Yes, sorry. I cut the explanation short because I felt the video was going long.
Once the statements are on the board, the remaining students guess which one is false. In your example, let’s say David guesses “b” is false. I will write his number under “b” and do so for each student. Once all students have guessed, the “player” will reveal which one is actually false and any students who had voted for that statement will receive a point. I usually play until someone has four points.

I've played several with my students bit i have adapted them for Spanish classes, and all the games have been successful. The students love them. I teach in a high school so it's sometimes difficult to get the students engaged but these games, really work. And no need to plan in advance or prep. Last week, I played the wheel of fortune and it was awesome. Thanks for all the ideas you share

I've been using your games for the past 4 years and I couldn't thank you enough if I could meet you and your crew one day I'd love to give you guys flowers and chocolates which in essence still won't show the amount of appreciation for the past and future games that have been posted.
