Wow you really learn omething new everyday, you blew the mind of a medical student Doctor. Intensive care is so interesting, one question is there any books- textbooks or resources you would recommend for students to read up on ❤
hmm... There are not very many good textbooks out there which are concise and to the point . . . mostly ICU depends on knowledge of physiology. i would certainly start with Guyton but that book has not been updated for many years. I would recommend few good websites run by amazing people who have made lot of clinically useful pathophysiology and its for free : 1) Dr Yarstev website of deranged physiology - derangedphysiology.com/main/home 2) Dr JE Kenny - www.pulmccm.org/t/physiology and his book - An Approach to Mechanical Heart-Lung Interaction. 3) for more clinical question - EMCrit is a good website.
Thanks . You know much but you are a bad teacher... we couldnot grasp the mechanisms and functions. You put the photos and remove them in an eye blink!!!
thanks for the feedback . . . i agree that these slides go pretty fast. i would really want to make 1 hour lecture, but no one would watch it. My goal is to at least start talking abou these complex concepts so you are aware of these. please slow down the video or pause them if you want to look at the tables or calculations. Also suggest to read up the references in the links. The slides that i go through faster are discussed in more details in previous videos (they are usually in the link below).
