Etegami Picture Letters with Sumi Ink

Etegami means picture letter, from the Japanese 'e' picture and 'tegami' letter. Postcard-sized images are observed from life, drawn with characteristic lively lines of black ink, and painted with Gansai watercolor.
Etegami art is meant to be shared!
Supplies:
- 6G Gasen rice paper cut to 4" x 6" or 5" x 7"
- Two CA1 Calligraphy brushes (one for ink, one for watercolor)
- WC220 Gansai watercolors
- Ceramic dish or plate
- Water
- Signature stamp with red ink (a red pen would work too!)

This is lovely! Question... If I don't want too user Sumi ink, what kind of ink would you recommend? Would Carbon Ink from platinum work? ( That's what I have)
