WOW!! That's so cool! You were an extra in the movie Sayonara! That must have been an incredible experience!! That movie made a huge impression on me when I saw it back in 1957 in a theater in Bethesda, Maryland with my family when I was 10 years old. Later in my life during my early 40's I somehow wound up in Kyoto and married a lovely Japanese woman named Yuko. We live near Kamigamo Shrine and teach English here in our home.

He spoke French perfectly and Italian fairly good. He spoke a little bit Spanish (with a marvelous American accent😅) and I don't know about his level of Japanese.
Anyway, he spoke and taught the language of the interpretation, the language of the soul like never anyone ever will.
He was a genious, he is a genious!!!!!
I admire & I love this attractive man with so rich interior life.
      *Regards from Spain*

And I am envious that you can enjoy Kyoto every day. I'm very much into Obon dancing as you can see in some of my other clips. YT wont let me put a link here but if you go to the blog link above in my description, then look for Obon Festivals 2012 in the index on the right, you can see my participation in last year's Obon Festivals here in Los Angeles. As for Brando, I worked with him 4 times and those were memorable experiences for me.

I worked on this so long ago I can't recall much about that day. I can understand your Miiko Taka infatuation. In the late 1990s I happened to see the asadora Churasan, fell in love with Kuninaka Ryoko, and now I envy you living in that beautiful country. Since then I have become deeply involved with Japanese community here in LA. In some of my other video clips you can see how immersed I have become in the Obon dancing and classes. I can't wait for the Obon season to begin again.

Yes, Ralph is my real name. lol. I have become increasingly involved with Asian culture. It began some 20 years ago when I accidentally saw a few episodes of Churasan. I was so intrigued I watched the entire asadora and became a lifelong fan of Kuninaka Ryoko. That led me to the Obons in Little Tokyo and learning the dances.Over the last 10 years or so I met many Japanese, Chinese, and Korean at the Obons who are now my friends.I love going to Little Tokyo to feel as if I am in real Tokyo.

Thank you for your comment. We all hope for lasting world peace. See my blog linked above in the description. I attend the Obons in Los Angeles every year and dance in them. I posted clips from the Obons in my blog and here on TH-cam also.
