- Ruth and Anita were guests on Vicki Lawrence’s show “Vicki!”. They talked about Ruth having her twins, answering to letters and performed some songs together. At the end they did a Q&A.

Very true. Anita's response was just an "Automatic," "Come on, dare me..." then she just decided to "Jump" in with that "Slow Hand" "Fire." ...It was still more gracious than what Queen Aretha would have said...
Anita was always charismatic and poised. I think the subtext of the viewer's letter just hit in a way that needed a "pointed" 🙂 Pointer response that Vicki was being too kind to give. Reading that letter in front of Black iconic guests wearing black who always just exude graciousness and kindness - no matter how they may be feeling or what they may be going through - was begging for a response.

@@PS-Archive. Sad, but I just love June and she looked great here. After reading the three books (that I know of) regarding the family, it was obvious to me that June paid a heavy price for her heart of gold and kindness to so many, who abused it and abused her. But she did her time on earth, paid her dues and left a great legacy behind for all of us, that even folks like me who never met her, can truly appreciate and enjoy. R.I.P. sweet June!!
