Depends on the state, in Minnesota you can but in the southern half where I live we can only ride in the ditch from august 1st to april 1st so we miss most of the summer.
I know what I'm going to do this summer! :)

I miss riding anywhere in the ditches of MN. Grew up in Faribault, live in Colorado now I got a '11 Raptor 700.
oh nice thats very close to where im from(Mankato)! yes riding anywhere in the ditches is about the greatest amount of fun possible in the summertime!! have actually ridden from mankato to tri county park in the ditches with a buddy of mine before! but cant beat colorado in the wintertime! moving out there to snowboard this winter!!

how do you wheelie so easily while rollin? do you just press the throttle all the way back?
haha no you have to really yank it back, I usually do wheelies in 3rd gear and will set up for them at 40% percent throttle in third, then hammer it down and pull back hard so by the time it comes up your in the perfect rpm range to keep it up! 1st and 2nd gear you dont have to pull near as hard to get them up. can only pull them up in fourth with a bump
what do you mean hammer it down? like jump down so you can put the force of your weight down?
***** ya kinda, you should have the throttle all the way a little before you start to pull back, go to 0:42 and you can see how i give it a good initial pull with my whole body which makes it easier to get to position where your going to hold it. It's really just about going out and trying it over and over till you get it, hard thing to teach.
How do pop and ride your wheelies so easily?
well i would not say they are easy to pop, just got to give it a big burst of strength, Razr tires in back help also

hwy 83 out by saint clair and hwy 90 from 83 out to mt kato. Didnt get a chance to ride 14 this year
Awesome video! And nice job on editing it! I just bought my 10 year old son a 2013 Raptor 250. Check out his video on my channel. He's doing great on it so far! This is his first ATV ever. Hope you like it for him. :-)
Well I bet he is the happiest 10 year old in the neighborhood!! Great way to get young kids outside these days, you need to get him on some trails pretty soon!

Just got a 2011 Raptor myself, it's gonna be a fun summer in Sweden!! /Danny.
Riding through the road ditches, season starts august 1st and is slow at the start since there are no tracks plus lots of tall grass, but as the season goes on they get mowed and as more people ride more tracks develop and you can ride faster and farther each time.
It's my favorite type of riding because it's pretty limitless as to where you can go, so we will ride from town to town exploring new places trying to find the best ditches to ride. CHECK the Map on my facebook. LINK on channel art.

I am selling my 350 and buying a 400ex do you think it's a good choice?
if you could afford a 2009 yfz450 over a 400ex I'd do that, but ive heard good things about the 400ex, never ridden one though.
I own a 400ex, and that thing is so much fun! its got enough power to go fast yet tame enough to actually be able to handle it. If you get a new muffler, you can open it up a bit more.
Joe Goettl how fast does that 700 go?
Honestly, I would stay away from the 450's, unless youve got the money to maintain them. Ive got a kfx 400 and its pretty great, would love to get my hangs on a 660/700 raptor. But thats just my thought. Minnesota REPRESENT!!! xD
