Do those seats get really hot during the hot weather compared to the stock leather ones.? Stock ones have little vent wholes I don’t know if that does anything to cool the leather down

The cool thing about natural top-grain cowhide leather is that it acclimates to your body temperature fairly quickly, unlike vinyl that retains heat much longer. armando roman That is not a stupid question. Many vehicle seats have changes every couple of years and sometimes even very year to year. However, with this interior though the seats are the same from 2016-2020. 👍
Take a look at the finished results near the end of the video 19:52 or the fully installed seat in the video opener. The fit is very tight and actually fits better than many OEM interiors. If you only watched the portion during install before he finished everything, it may not have looked tight yet because he wasn’t done fitting the covers. We attach our leather upholstery using the similar attachment points as the factory. This gives the kit a solid placement on the seat foam so that it doesn't "float" around like slip-on covers. One of the keys to getting the leather "tight" is to use steam during the installation which is shown at 6:59 and 10:08. The steam makes the leather more malleable and helps it conform to the seat foam shape better. Also, the leather naturally synchs in with sun-time. We typically let the seats sit in the direct sun before installing them back in the vehicle. I would encourage you to watch the video through the end as I feel that Eric did an solid job on the installation of the this project.

+Joseph Espinal It certainly depends on the skill level and experience of an installer, but most installers who are familiar with the vehicle can complete the seat upholstery installation, including removal and reinstallation of the seats, in about 6 - 8 hours.
K3n38 I'm not sure what "little cover" you are refering to, but the entire plastic shroud on the side of both front bucket seats must be removed entirely in order to install the new upholstery properly.

C.mechelle Banks2011 The process of taking the seats out is not as complicated as it seems. The wires underneath are designed to be unplugged without much hassle. You do need to be careful to unplug power before accessing the airbag though. If you do not feel comfortable with this process we would recommend taking your vehicle to a professional for installation. This process is not for everyone.

Unfortunately we do not as of now, however our product can be installed by any automotive upholstery shop and there are several in the LA area.
Hi Guys! How much it's gonna cost me to install a whole upholstry kit (including door panels) on my MKV 2008 Rabbit?
I came up with the configurator to 1064 us$ for the upholstry (premium black leather + perforated red insert). So haw much it's gonna cost me for the installation + some red vinylor deluxe leather for the panels of the four doors? Thanks a lot!
PS: I live in Montreal. but if I have time I could make it to your place!

+Arturo Chang All you have to do is flip up the connector "safety" and then pull the harness clip out.
about how long did this take to do all the seats?
+Joseph Espinal It certainly depends on the skill level and experience of an installer, but most installers who are familiar with the vehicle can complete the seat upholstery installation, including removal and reinstallation of the seats, in about 6 - 8 hours.

All you had to do to remove the seat belt was just pop off the little cover. Then there should be a t30 screw you remove. Less part to take off.
K3n38 I'm not sure what "little cover" you are refering to, but the entire plastic shroud on the side of both front bucket seats must be removed entirely in order to install the new upholstery properly.

eliane martins This kit in particular was built in our Deluxe leather trimmed content which has leather on the seating surfaces and a matching automotive grade vinyl on the sides and backs of the front seats. The rear seats have leather inserts only with the rest of the seating surfaces and sides being vinyl. The back of the rear seats also have carpet like the factory. C.mechelle Banks2011 The process of taking the seats out is not as complicated as it seems. The wires underneath are designed to be unplugged without much hassle. You do need to be careful to unplug power before accessing the airbag though. If you do not feel comfortable with this process we would recommend taking your vehicle to a professional for installation. This process is not for everyone.
A reco seat is 2500 bucks for 1 I see ..

C.mechelle Banks2011 We sell complete replacement upholstery kits that replaces the current upholstery. This requires that the seats be taken out of the vehicle for installation.

Too bad they use so much cheap looking plastic on their cars. Main reason I got rid of my old Camaro!!
The 2016 and up is a big step up in quality, Def. a difference compared to the 15's which i would never buy with the terrible interiors.
