@@SailingrumrunnerII Head down this fall or winter. I have made three trips to the Gulf of Mexico with that boat. Had a few issues with various things each time but worth the drive.
I'd love to do that event, I'm trying for the Texas 200 this year. Maybe next year! My boat is an AMF Sunbird. Not as nice as a Compac 16 but it's what I got.
@@kevbjork1 There is a guy that posted a video series on TH-cam where he circumnavigated Isle Royale with his sunfish. We have boated Lake Superior and it is beautiful but freezing cold. If he was able to plan and execute that trip you should be able to do the same with the bigger Sunbird on the Gulf. Would be an epic adventure. Be careful!
