@antlocal80 not really, its experience. In that situation letting off would have caused the crash easier then powering through keeping a forward momentum. If anything (imo) it would take a strong mental defense from the initial shock of the ass end kicking out.
Not trying to dog you or call you out but at that level theres a lot more of a mental game going on.

The tyres they have in racing are basically like using slicks on the road. They are very sticky even in the wet with the silicon compound in the tyres.
I can run wet tyres on the track and feel extremely confident, as opposed to my road tyres on the public streets, there is a huge lack of confidence in the rain with them. I've had my rear slip out a couple of times in the wet which keeps me on my toes.

Massive respect for attempting that! He got very close to the rumble strip as well. Those things are like ice in the wet! 😂

I saw that, it was incredibly close. Respect to anyone who can "drift" a two wheeler on pavement.

When I used to ride bikes I felt great that I could drift the back wheel coming out of roundabouts under power etc.
That's in the dry. Wet changes everything, everything is on a knife-edge.
I admire these guys beyond belief.

always liked how vees tended to hold a steady rpm after breaking traction.
every i4 just wants to spin to redline... then suddenly grab when you back off. thats the hairy part!
i liked the rain. less chance of highsiding. far easier to get it spinning.

Toni Elias on Pramac Ducati was great at BRNO 2008.!
He was on second place behind Rossi, Capirossi on Suzuki was third.
Stoner did not finish the race.
This just shows how Toni was great at his prime!
Thanks for the upload, such a soundtrack!
