@kevingrissom3850 yeah definitely better flying the bigger helis. I'll never get rid of my m2 though its my bashing machine for learning maneuvers. I'm over the moon with mikado setup though, I'll never go back to anything other thank mikado and vbar now. It's definitely worth the money. Good luck with your Maiden flight bud. All the best 👍🏻 👌

Very impressed with your Heli and your flying, I really will have to think about changing the GTS flight controler 😀👍

Well done mate as always great video and progressing nicely. The H1 GPS controllers are good to get your hand eye coordination as a new heli pilot. I used them at the beginning but now find them too sluggish as I progress. I am currently converting the two I have to flybarless one will be a Micro Beast X and the other a Futaba CGY760R Gyro/receiver. The VBar gear looks really good but being a Futaba user for the last 38 years it would be too costly to change. Keep up the good work and happy flying

@All_things_RC. much appreciated buddy. I wish you all the best aswell in your journey. It'll all just click soon enough for you and you'll be cruising around the sky with your heli.

@All_things_RC. totally get that. Futaba is the same basics as mikado I believe. I think Futaba is all done through the transmitter aswell. Can't wait to see you cruising around the sky soon. All the best and many thanks 😊 👍🏻

Sorry. I've been trying to get around to watching this, as I've been busy as hell. Nice flying for sure. I have a question about the Vbar. I've known about them for a long while now, and when you said "It feels so smooth", do you mean the actual gimbals feel even better? I've always flown Spektrum with my Airplanes. I started off 20 years ago using a Futaba, can't remember which one, then bought a Hitec Eclipse 7. There was no 2.4 Ghz offered back then. We were all still using FM and Crystals. The Hitec's "Spectra" module back then was very cool. You could dial in with with a tiny flat head screwdriver, any frequency in the Aircraft band. It kept you from having to buy 2 crystals every time you wanted to change frequencies. You only had to buy the ones for the receiver. The days of the "Channel Boards" at the flying field were over once 2.4 Ghz came out. I have the following radios. 2 Radiomaster TX16's, one is a MK I the other an MK II. The Radiomaster Zorro, a Spektrum DX 5e, Spektrum NX8, and a Spektrum iX14. I really want to get a Vbar, as I want it to be my "Go to" Heli radio, for all of my heli's. I'm sure I'll get one in the near future. By the way, I bought a Goosky RS4 Venom. I bought the kit complete with servos, and the ESC. I heard the Goosky FBL is good, but not so user friendly, so I'm putting an Ikon2 in it. I plan on starting the build tomorrow night.

@AnythingEverythingRC-rc1yc congratulations on the new heli you will absolutely love it for sure, there absolutely fantastic value for money and fly way way way more stable then the 200 size helis. Ref the mikado and vbar the controller itself feel wise is OK not as smooth as the tx16mk by anymeans but the fbl unit and tx combined are epic. Its just sooooo easy to setup and everything is so dialed in its unreal. Super responsive and smooth. Hope this helps. I'm still fairly new ro the hobby as you know but I'm slowly learning lol. I'm definitely sticking with mikado from now on for sure it's definitely the way forward for me. At the end of the year I'll probably get a 600 or 700 size nitro heli aswell. I've flown a few at my field and there definitely a different flying experience all together so locked in its honestly unreal. Enjoy your build mate speak soon 👍🏻

Very impressive first flights with the new Mikado flybarless! It's visible that you feel more confidence. Especially in these backflips and rolls. I am still having trouble with my collective pitch management to keep my heli on one place and altitude. Your flips are looking much better! Congrats!! Do you still use your Radiomaster TX 16? Best greetings, Buddy!

@RCCopterLove hello buddy, much appreciate your comment I'm definitely more confident with the vbar setup for sure. It's just way more locked in. And yes I still use my tx16 for my m2evo as there's no point in spending another £200 on and fbl unit to put in the m2evo. The evo is my practice tool now. I just use it for flips rolls and inverted flying as its just cheaper to fix. Happy and safe flying buddy. And I'm sure in no time your nail the inverted flight 👍🏻👌

Im really thinking about getting a RS4 venom as my second heli. Currently flying a Goosky S2. But im cheap, so I was thinking radiomaster Nexus FBL unit to work with my TX16s. But must admit that heli looks absolutely locked in running that Mikado stuff

@will_how I'd definitely say go with the venom over the legend bud. The venom definitely offers a lot more for your money. If you're new to the hobby and you have never set up a heli yourself before I'd strongly recommend looking into it all in serious depth. I myself have the radiomaster tx16s mk 2 aswell. I used it first off with my rs4 I just duplicated my m2evo joauns file and bound it ip and it flew. A couple of people at my club use the nexus fbl units on there new helis. They have always got there laptops with them tuning the helis up at the field. Yes it's a cheap fbl unit and yes it works well but getting your heli to that stage can take hours and hours of setup and tuning with a laptop. You have to fly the heli and if you need to adjust anything you then have to land get the laptop out and then plug it in then do your adjustment then do the same procedure over and over again till you feel its correct. One guy at the field just brought a tb40 and is using the nexus and its taken him nearly 20 batteries and about 4 hours of flying to set it up correctly. If your ok with that way of tuning then definitely go with the nexus. But wow. Mikado and vbar are sooooooo easy its unreal. 15/20 mins total and it was all done because you do everything through the transmitter. I hope this info helps you in some way. Happy and safe flying buddy 👌 👍🏻

@@Rcheliguy good to know thanks, for my first heli I bought the BNF model and tx16s, so I built the radio profile from scratch. Wasn't that bad, and now I know how to do it quickly. I reckon the Nexus would be the same, I'm used to BetaFlight coming from fpv quads.
