I just got this case off amazon for $18. I saw reviews saying it doesn't actually charge using magsafe which is fine, but I am hoping I can still use my old Qi charger that is at my work desk. I really bought this so I can use magsafe car mounts in my car since my iPhone x doesn't have magsafe built into it.
I have weird problem with case like this. MagSafe can attach normally, start charging, doesn’t stop but doesn’t charging. If I start charging at 50%, after hour it will be still at 50% but iPhone is still charging. Without case work good. Maybe case magnets absorb most of power?
Please let me know if you ever see any leather or PU leather iphone x cases with magsafe magnets built in. I was going to add my own magsafe magnets to my iphone x and use it with the apple leather case, but after seeing how it didnt work for you with the official apple silicon case, I figured the leather one would be too thick aswell.

The MagSafe Charger supports up to 15W fast charging function only for iPhone 12 series. For old iPhones with wire less charging, the charging speed will be 7.5W Max. I don't know the charging speed for other Qi wireless devices, but I guess it will be 5W MAX. And the cases I showed in the video only added magnetic feature for old iPhones, it will not affect the Qi wireless charging function.
So let’s say I wanna use this at the gym to record myself (douchey) I know 😂 will the magnetic case hang on to the magnetics that’s on the equipment at the gym?

I bought the exact same transparant case and a Anker Wireless Charging Stand but it doesn't seem to charge my iphone? It magnetically attaches perfectly and starts charging for 2 seconds, but then stops and a flashing light comes on the charger. Why is this? Do not all wireless chargers support iPhone X?
@@MrZhao-sn8ok Ah yes, I did some research and it seems like some magsafe chargers read the nfc chip at the back of the iphone to make sure it is the correct phone, and if not stops charging it. So I guess they're all capable, but some block you from being able to charge.
@@oscarvandeweetering yes i just found a fix yesterday, sliding a piece of paper into the case helps, so i have cut the paper into a circle shape and glued on top of the magnet, probably magnets too strong disrupting the electromagnetic field or smth. if one layer isn't enough try two

Some 3rd party wireless chargers will not work as expected. The Apple MagSafe Charger works perfectly with these case.
