I got bomberman 64 since 1997 when i was a kid, then in 2005 one of my friends had this game bomberman hero so he brought it home and we played, and this song got stuck in my head I loved it since the first time I heard it😁😁
No worries, the game was never that good, though the early 3d graphics paired with the brilliant music created a very dreamlike atmosphere which I think back to a lot. It was certainly striking. Preferred the 1st significantly, in terms of gameplay. Hero was probably a 6 or 7 outta 10 in comparison.
It is that good. I remember playing this back in my windows xp machine with a 15 dollar usb controller from a cd when i was at least 10 or 12 years old. That was like 13-15 years ago... so good...
me too, i was searching through any kind of soundtrack i could think of from this sort of era, i thought it was sonic for the longest time up until right now
my mom recognized this song as dnb immediately when I was little once. I learned two things: My mom is ridiculously good at IDing song genres, and should've been a DJ, and that DnB is one of my favorite genres of music
@@Jonasisacreep hmm honestly i wouldn't really be able to? idk how to describe it but i listen to a shitload of songs without getting to really know artists. Soichi Terada (who worked on the Ape Escape OST) makes some goodass stuff tho!
"criminally overrated" what are you talking about, that phrase means nothing anymore, bomberman hero is a legendary game and it sold a shit ton, stop talking out of your ass.

I remember I got this game for my sixth birthday. Changed my entire outlook on electric music. I was raised in a very metal and rock based home. So techno was the enemy. But when I heard this I was like there's something here.

@@bitterjuneare you deaf? That is litteraly an amenbreak. Ofc not the original amen break, but it stands as a synoym for breaks like this. And this music is called jungle, which got used a lot in 90s games and its made out of amenbreaks lmao
Sometimes, it seems as though witnessing video games become 3D was the most magical time to experience them. I don't think I'll ever forget bomberman hero level 1's music. hearing it now makes me partially sad with the level of nostalgia it brings. Funny thing is, as a child i felt that way about the music but did not know why.
@gaylordfocker7990 IDK, some of Nintendo's best tracks were on the N64. That is not discounting this track at all either. I just think N64 might have the games with the best music
It's weird that I remembered this without the drums, memory is a weird thing, but now I enjoy it more that I can remember it fully and now I know this is a jungle track!
Aw man, I randomly got a N64 donated to me growing up. We were broke so it was a huge deal and one of the games was this. The music stuck with me all these years until I decided to track it down. Wasn't hard but man I'm so happy. Vibing to this drunk 😂
I mostly listen to metal, but this track is amazing and has been stuck in my head since I first heard it when I was like 7 and played the game originally. I'm 29 now and this track will still randomly play in my head from time to time lol.
I’ve never played a bomberman game but this has got to be one of the best tracks / OSTs I’ve ever heard. it’s made me want to give the games a shot and see what all the hype is about. and the bassline on some of these are just killer
This game and Frequency on the PS2 started my fascination with DnB, I know that's like the worst way to get into a music genre but man this stuff is amazing.
Since 2020 I've heard Ls Mark and antdude use this song and I couldn't find out from what game this was, I was pretty sure it was from a sonic game I never touched
Oh boy, the Bomberman 64 era was SAVAGE, the devs decided to give us a different experience of the game as a whole, bringing it to the 3D platformer genre was one of the greatest ideas ever, It's a shame that now that Konami owns the IP, all they do is give us a more "classic" experience of the game, and nothing too innovative. Anyway, soon or later, we'll be seeing Bomberman Pachinko 🤡🤡
I remember being about 9 or 10 y.o., and hearing this type of music on N64/PS1 games and just wondering why they don't play this on the radio?! This was before I discovered metal too, all I knew was, like, the Backstreet Boys and my dad's "light rock" radio stations.
I’ve been trying to find this one song for over a year after hearing it in 2 videos because it sounded nice. And I found it today in a video about kung fu panda, and it sound very nice :3

This was sampled by Liv.e on her album "Girl In The Half Pearl". The track is "RESET!" and it surprisingly works
Best song in the game
Best song on N64.
