- In this video, I describe different disaster scenarios and explain what happens to your data stored in SAP BTP.
- Can your data be recovered?-
- Are you backing up everything that you should be backing up?
- What is the SLA for recovery of BTP in a catastrophic regional disaster?
- Where is best to keep your backups?

@3:40 I wonder whatever happened to Apu? He probably went home and got a job with Tata....so he can still hear "we're doomed" on a regular basis...
I had a customer two years ago who had an issue with their credit card for BTP - this was in the summer - lots of warnings June and July. Emails to SAP UK/NL, nothing happened. Customer account manager involved - everyone on holidays - escalations - went nowhere. Got locked out August - account deleted September. All gone.
OMG 😲
JFC!
Great video..
i had a small doubt. As you said, BTP platform is deployed on CF? Is it true because CF is an underlying environment in BTP right? We can create BTP subaccounts even without CF . Pls clarify my doubt
Great question.
Not sure on the answer 😂
An empty BTP account (no services) would exist somewhere. Probably in a SAP DC to avoid cost until the end user provisions a service.
The account metadata would be either federated or replicated to the CF hosting platforms.
Without detailed data from SAP, it is just guesswork.
Turn off all the SAP Datacentres and see if BTP still functions.
@@TechCubicleOnSAP thanks Daryll, just one thing. As you said in the video BTP Platform is deployed on CF, do you have any document supporting the same mentioning this?
What about other SAP SaaS (Success Factors, Concur, SAC, DataSphere and what about S/4HANA Public Cloud itself?)
If they are in CF then the same level of redundancy and protection.
If they are in Neo or hosted in SAP DC then it would seem protection levels could be different.
