100% agree. Building personal relationships with the goal of releasing good music together is what it comes down to as an artist (IMO). Only thing I would add is that YT beat channel has its own place in this. Personally, I use YT as catalog of my work. Its very good in displaying your work to vocalists considering using it for their projects (visual, time stems, long descriptions with all the details etc). Great vid Keep it up :)
That's a really good point! Having a solid catalog you can look back on and even using it to get new clients is a way to go. Platforms like Beatstars, Soundcloud or even a personal website might be good too. Thank you for your comment!
Bruh. It s good to do both sides. You can send weekly loops and get some placements for your catalog and meet other artists face to face. I think that, when you have a catalog, people see u different, like a producer who knows exactly what he s doin. And from here you can build connections and relationships in real life. Just sayin
Yeah I definitely get what you’re saying. There seems to be a sweet spot where you’re doing a little bit of both. But that also begs the question: if you focus 100% on just 1 thing, won’t you become significantly greater at doing it? 🤔
I think you gotta go where the artists are. And when it comes to hiphop, majority are on IG! Check any pages that do promo and they'll post tons of artists every day.

What do you think about Tainy, Reggaeton music. He's one of my idols when it comes to beat making.

Also, I've been trying to build relationships with smaller artists, but its hard to find them, any advice on finding singers or rappers on YT?
