In the Buu Saga, Majin Vegeta states that Super Saiyan 2 Goku is stronger than Super Saiyan 2 Gohan and Super Saiyan 2 Gohan is around the same level as Dabura's power since all the Tamagamis are stronger than Dabura. The fact that Goku has to use Super Saiyan 2 to defeat Tamagami #3 shows that the Tamagami is quite tough. And there is no telling how powerful Arinsu's new Majin Buu creations will be.

My only critique is that the pacing to this moment took forever. And this season is only around 20 episodes. 💀 But this is Toriyama’s last work so I have to be very thankful of this 🔥

It's not an outrageous retcon though. This one definitely had wriggle room for added backstory and unknown context. I don't feel that it directly contradicts or ruins anything it just changes our perspective on it. Movies and TV shows do this all the time 🤷🏻♀️
My goodness he only regressed physically he's the same goku you've seen in Z and the same goku that will become in Duper (albeit super goku is a bit too naive) but all in all goku regardless

Animation and choreography are unmatched as of this episode! I am blown away!! left me in a state of shock!
