"Our enemy is...the world" - what a chilling line to start the episode with!
It's been very noble of the leadership, deciding to share all the info they gathered with the public, making everyone aware of their predicament.
Floch's outburst is understandable to a certain degree. He may come off like an annoying brat in this episode but if you think about it rationally, for someone new like him, Erwin was an absolute legend while Armin, Eren and Mikasa are just simple Survey Corps troops.
The contrast to previous seasons is shocking - no more titans outside the walls, they're free to roam around as they please, to finally go and see the sea, one of their goals since episode 1.
Once again, we can see just how different Eren's reaction is from everyone else - they're all excited about the sea, the feeling of the water on their limbs. Eren, on the other hand, looks completely empty and he probably realized that the cage just got bigger. He's not trapped inside the walls anymore, he's now trapped on the island and needs to "kill our enemies over there" in order to finally be free.

Floch's words are harsh, but they're true. He's such an easy character to hate, but Isayama uses him so well to challenge the main narrative with real, conflicting perspectives.
He's only an easy character to hate, because some folks let their emotions get the better of them and not keep their heads cool.

So where is Floch wrong? These are the facts
He's wrong in telling Armin that it shouldn't have been him to be chosen but Erwin since it wasn't Armin's decision to begin with. If it wasn't for both Erwin and Armin the Scouts would've lost that battle, and it's tragic that they were forced to choose between one of the two. If Floch didn't call Erwin the "devil" that they needed, Levi would've probably chosen him instead of Armin.

uh, you do realize Eren did the Rumbling both for himself and his close friends right? Armin is included in that. Floch wanted to build a New Eldian Empire, Eren couldn’t care less about that

Well eren did believe in floch's dream. Though floch wanted to build a Empire, his primary goal was eldia's protection. Which was erens goal too. That's why eren trusted floch more than any of his friends. He knew that for greater good floch will not hesitate to get his dirty. Also eren was only 50% successful because all his friends got to live a peaceful life. As floch urged to hange to not stop eren. He was right and Eldia did got demolished in the very end.
@@detroitcity6677 no my guy Eren didn’t share or believe in Floch’s dream nor he trusted him more than his friends. He used him because he knew he was going to become devoted to any person who would appear to be strong and ready to fight. He used him to help him reach Zeke through the Jaegerists after Zeke was brought to the island. Eren wanted to be stopped by his friends because that’d have ended Ymir’s curse so Armin didn’t have to die in 9 years. He wanted to be stopped because in that way his friends would be respected like it was for the Tybur family after the Great Titan War. Those were Eren’s main goals, together with his other personal reason for doing the Rumbling which is his disappointment in the outside world.
I don’t know how you can finish the show and make those statements, it’s like you didn’t watch it at all.

At this episode, the Scouts accomplished the last of their goals that they have had since the beginning. They exposed all truth within the walls, they killed (almost) all the titans, and they have freedom to explore beyond Wall Maria. Going into Season 4, ask yourselves: "Now that the Scouts have accomplished so much, what else do they have left to do? Did the Scouts finish their mission? If not, what drives them now?"

i get where you are coming from that this wasnt the closure you were expecting but thats the point
the characters thought this was the end of their journey it was supposed to be a happy ending for what they had fought for 3 whole seasons

Y'all are more mature than some of the other reactors who have watched this show. A lot of them hated Floch just for saying Armin should be dead. His delivery could've been better, but I don't believe Floch was wrong about it. Sacrificing a seasoned commander like Erwin over a grunt like Armin was a dumb move from a military perspective.
Never hate floch. He is a king. True patriot.
