    Very educational video. I find it very intersting how farmers have different fencing. Thank you so much for sharing. Lots of Love to you all.❤❤❤❤ Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘

    I personally think it looks better. Plus it would make me feel safer, bison can be dangerous but I would not mind living next to yours. Living next to you would just be a bonus.😂

      Lol!! Unless they get out and terrorize the neighborhood! They would probably go straight to you for more treats!

      @@blackaxeranch don't laugh too hard one day I opened my back door to a painted horse and a calf. I didn't own a calf and my horse was brown. Just put them in the pasture where they would be safe and made some phone calls. They liked treats too 😊

    WOW!!!! This is an excellent Video on a new procedure for fencing!! I Love it!! I understand it so much better after watching this Video!! Outstanding Job explaining it!! The fence looks so much neater than some of the other ways of ending!! I do like the areas where you have all the posts put into side ways! Assuming those are for the gates!! You have done such a huge project on your own with that fence and I am very proud of your accomplishment!!! I wish more ranchers/farmers could see this Video on fencing!!! Wouldn't it be neat if it went Viral!!!!! 😂😂 I bet your Bisons are saying, how Blessed we are by this family choosing us to be on their ranch!!! They look healthy and very happy!!! Happy Friday!!! 🤗🤗♥️♥️

      Thank you for those awesome comments! It sure would be great if it went viral! Lol share it! Ha ha.
      And we still have a long way to go with more fencing… But some of that will have to wait until next year!

    i like it and that it can be electric. but i doubt it would hold a determined hog in.

      Yeah, if they wanna get out, they will. Unless you got Jurassic Park fences, it's more of a "suggestion" to the animal to stay in, lol. As long as we keep our animals fat and happy, it's less likely going to be a problem. :-)

    Have they ever jumped or gone through the fence? I will be fencing my property for the Bison in a few months but can't determine the best option.

    • @blackaxeranch
      @blackaxeranch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They have never jumped the fence, even when we had the 5.5 foot Barbwire. Now about 90% of our fencing is the 7 foot high, high tensile. They did, however, go through the fence once in an area that was spanning about 20 feet between the fence post. Even though the wires were tight, there was enough flex between the strands to push through because they have a tendency to stick their heads through it to get to the grass… Even though they have acres of it on their own side! Lol. I believe we have solved that problem by running a single wire around our entire enclosure and about nose-high, running 6.7 joules. We will see!

    Now you guaranteed that you will have to redo that fence in about 10 years. PLUS you gave up the $2000-3000 timber value. A TREE IS NOT A POST. You screwed yourself..

      @@jeffery19677 thanks for your concern, but I think we have a pretty good handle on what we're doing.
