    As a South African young Black man, born post-apartheid people really need to study closely what Communism has done to countries, it will never work , never has never will I, however, know that Communism thrives in chaos,, if people continue to suffer and continue to suffer SACP, EFF and MK’s are nothing more and more of such will continue to merge over the years

      You're an interesting man with a good head on your shoulders. Did you read Thomas Sowell at all? Brilliant man - you sound like him - common sense. But convincing people who like free stuff with zero effort is very difficult. I wish you success - but not so much that you become a target of the ANC gang. Stay safe. I'm proud of you. ❤

    SACP and ANC's recent caucus to strengthening their alignment is tantamount to clutching at straws, hoping for a win in 2026. Thank you Mike for hosting Dr Harvey again. Brilliant interview as usual.

    Now Harvey is all over the place, he correctly indicates that the ANC has moved towards the neo liberal policy stance of the DA whilst arguing at the same time that the GNU will collapse due to lack of policy coherence. The problem in South Africa is not policy but lack of ethical and competent leadership which values meritocracy instead of kleptocracy.

    • @trevormain1358
      @trevormain1358 18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Well said. We also need people in these positions to stop selling rasist propaganda. How do u turn someone into a patriot. As for anc move to liberal it's clear. Are there voters aware of it. If they don't address that, propaganda can easily befall the weak minded. Its quite a Conundrum i reckon. ANC isn't In a good spot. And would DA supporters really want there party caught in the mix of that. I reckon if the DA chose to pull out. Let them. Until the ANC splits again the DA shouldn't be anywhere near it IMO
      All these anc shortfalls are being spoken as DA led government. This propaganda is quote a problem among those without internet

      Probably get money from government too. We see then how Unions seem to have more power than they aught to. SACP thinks it can tell the ANC whats what, and to kick the GNU. Like who the fak do they think they are

    All we need at local government level is competent people to deliver services to us. Nothing more, nothing less. And for this we do NOT need political parties.

    Good interview Mike. I think Ebrahim is actually the one who is confused about alignment of policies vs what is the best for the country. But at least he's honest about being a socialist & if he really thinks that is best for the country, then I think you did a good job of educating him, although you can't teach an old dogs new tricks.

    We dont need ideology. Ehat SA leaders need to do is to sit down with citizens and eork out what are the values we stand by to build a new SA. This video explains -- "Bold young girl confronts Burkino Faso President Ibram Taore leaving him speechless." Watch the decorum of both this girl and her president. Political ideologies care nothing about children. "Values," should be uppermost in nation building. I dont see nation building being spoken about. In 1994 we were told that never again should a nation be distinguished by racism. Since this election we have heard more about racism than in the last 30 yrs. If we focus on what values will distinguish SA from the last 30 years we will begin to build our country on a good, rather than a racist, foundation.

    Communism can never work because " man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God". This verse is the antithesis of Dialectical Materialism which underpins the communist philosophical framework which places materialism at the centre of human existence. But the problem with this thinking is that it overlooks the truth that a human is a spirit in a human body and has a soul. The body needs food and shelter but the spirit requires a different kind of food and that it is the word of God. A human being can have all material needs but as long as the spirit is estranged from God fulfilment will remain a pipe dream no matter how many cars, houses and other creature comforts we keep acquiring. There is something deep within a human soul that yearns for something more than material possession because that is how the Creator designed things.

    Dr Harvey is being simplistic at best when claiming that black South Africans don’t ‘give a damn about corruption’. People’s reasons for voting for the MKP were far more complex than he claims and it would be dangerous to paint an entire demographic group with one brush. While I respect him as an accomplished person, I personally found his generalisations profoundly disappointing.

      You are correct> I am a classic liberal, not a neo-liberal which is a different thing. I believe in rights for all, as long as it is in the interests of the many. I believe in personal freedoms with good laws. The belief that every person is in the best position to know what he or she wants, this is progressive. The opposite is when the state tells you what you want; this is regressive and this is what communism advocates.
