Thank you for noticing! The Stahl House, aka Case Study House #22 by Pierre Koenig, could very likely have been the inspiration for The Float House. More about Stahl House for our viewes here www.atlasofplaces.com/architecture/stahl-house/
@@Architallos Stahl came up with the original design. You can see photos of the original miniature model Stahl made himself. It is basically the same as the final design, but had a concave shape, not the L-shape, Koenig changed it to (probably to reduce segments and reduce material. But I really think Stahl deserves to be the primary designer, and Koenig the secondary. Koenig also always employed a father-son-engineer team too to solve the engineer problems.
Sorry, hard to enjoy with the fake bird chirps. Its much to loud and distracting as well as some of the camera shots and pull back zooms. As many architects will agree please include some aerials to better appreciate the site and space layout. Also would appreciate some view of the construction/material details as opposed to interior ornamentation. Looks to be a nice space, but just could not make it through this video when I have many others to choose from. Best of luck.

Nice place. You should speed up the photos and turn the fake bird noises up louder......
