I love her very much, but the 3 songs I have heard from the album, I could not connect with gaga; ((((I have a huge affection for her, but I had very high expectations for the sound of chromatica, having Sophie on the album and after so many years without releasing a record focused on pop, I feel that something is missing, I think the aesthetics of the album are beautiful, very fresh but its sound leaves a lot to be desired, I think the song is succeeding because it is the return of focused gaga directly in pop music after artpop, it is not because the song is sooooo good, for the same reason I think it is a very bad comeback :( I did not even reach the heels of "Telephone" or the underrated "do what u want" , songs like "Venus" "LoveGame" or "Scheiße" are great, I was expecting something much more experimental. Ariana had an almost null participation, the video only has a nice aesthetic, let's be self-critical with what we are consuming and let's stop calling it iconic to all what they are getting))): d It leaves a lot to be desired for a return.
The only thing that I liked about chromatica at the moment have been the boots of the monster ball in the music video xdd

When I see reviews of this song, I just have to shake my head. It makes me sad how uncultured our society is. So many people, even ones calling themselves critics, saying this song doesn't make sense. I guess they never heard of Sandro Botticelli's famous The Birth of Venus painting. It's also a song about love and sex. And the "Rocket Number 9" is a reference to the Zombie Zombie song sampled in the track. It's sad that alleged "critics" won't even do their research of an album or song before talking about it. Morons.

1. Venus (To start the era with a Happy and Catchy song just like she opened The Fame with Just dance)
2.Do What U Want (Because after her first single she would be criticized a lot and this song is the perfect answer for that )
3. G.U.Y (Another happy and catchy song after a dramatic song like dwuw)
4. Gypsy (A slow, happy ,nostalgic and fresh song to almost close the ARTPOP era.
5. Applause (After being criticized because a lot of people might not like her nostalgic single "gypsy" she would reply "I've overheard your theory, nostalgia's for geeks. I guess sir if you say so, some of us just like to read". And close the era with a song for her fans "she lives for the applause" and we weill always support her)

I'm not sure where people are getting the 'teen album' from, and it sounding like Britney or Katy... Does "Venus" sound like "Walking on Air" or "Aura" sound like "Work Bitch" ...really? I think the album is fun and very epic and theatrical, it has it's commercial elements, but it's faaar from being teen pop. I'm really enjoying it and I'm not a die hard Gaga fan, I appreciate her efforts, more then the current pop stars out there. I wish people would stop giving her a hard time, the are way worse people in the world to be criticizing and attacking.
