This is a great question and I feel I might do an actual video on this. However, I generally have a color/theme in mind. Orange easily became my favourite vacation color, plus it truly compliments melanin like no other. I also consider my destination, accommodations ( airbnb or all inclusive resort) and excursions I plan on doing. I plan all that in advance and then pack my outfits accordingly. I also try on my clothes at home first and create my outfits for each night and take pics so I know what to wear on which day and occasion. (This also includes shoes. I wear flats on vacation, I've brought heels and never end up wearing them, so two great pairs of flat sandals should be suffice.) This helps me eliminate over packing, which I've been guilty of. There's no sense in bringing outfits you won't wear.
