My mother’s Great Uncle saved the Salvation Army’s flag being burned he placed the flag around his body. Uncle George was the first convert, one of the Army people was killed with a brick thrown by the rioters. I used to go round the pubs on a Saturday night selling the War Cry a Army Paper My mothers sister was a Salvation Army Officer and her daughter I’m enjoying this program about the riots which I ha heard so much about when I was a child till 1960 when I got married, I think I am the last of the Relatives of the beginning of the Army in Worthing
Wow, a Salvation Army Band, Marching on the street, without a Police Escort. Advice is needed for Corps that are prevented from doing so either by the Local Authority or The Police.
+Sean Clemo I think talking to the local authority is a good place to start, or perhaps get in touch with Worthing corps who may be able to give you advice.
Watching this honestly made me root for the Skeleton Army even more. It honestly sounds pretty rad.
