- There's no time like the first month of a new year to reset, set intentions and to take stock of all you are creating. I dove right into creating "Healed Girl Era" for many reasons. One-- I was tired of overthinking and waiting for "the perfect time" to have the conversations I wanted to have. Two-- when Kelly Rowland says she wants to talk, you make it happen! But, I realized I never got to tell you all what this space is actually intended to be. So join me as I explain the premise of this show, and share a bit about my own healing journey.
"Healed Girl Era" podcast is a space designed to share stories and tools of how we got through the eras that define who we are. It's a safe space to honor every part of the journey and to remind us that none of us are on this journey alone.

Gia, you captured so much when it comes to the healing process, and I love how you set the tone of the space by sharing how its okay not be okay. There is so much intentionally behind your work. Till this day, I am still being transformed by your transparency and just the snippets of your journey that you shared with your audience over on Black Girl Podcast. As a mental health clinician, I think we set ourselves free when we are willing to be honest about the ebb and flow of what healing calls us to. Anyway, girl, you still my fave and I'm so happy to follow what appears to be a continuation of your journey and the light you carry.

💔😰💔 Newbie here, just happen to stumble across your channel/TH-cam here, as I am in a very dark place as well, as deep grief/sadness. I loss my beloved adopted mom. During the Covid surge right before Christmas in, 2021, I’m completely shattered in a deeply sad emotional place. She was the mom I never had, my greatest cheerleader, my everything, & more.😔😢😔 As her upcoming birthday gets closer, the grief upon me is heavier this feels still so very surreal.😢😥😢Now parentless, not having my beloved biological dad who also has been gone? I’ve felt more orphaned, & alone, as a millennial where most of my peers, friends, associates have their parents.😥 Not super easy to embrace chosen family, after so much hurt, trauma, betrayal, as former foster child/teen, mourning the family I was biologically born into unwanted including the woman who birthed me, that my existence doesn’t matter to never did, and losing the adopted family that disintegrated after the sickness & ultimate heartbreaking loss of my beloved adopted mom. I even had my heartbroken painfully by a guy I really loved truly, & thought “loved” me as my beloved mom was unwell, then passed, he turned out to be emotionally abusive and a narcissists etc…. 😢😔😢 I feel completely broken, no hope loss of faith, feeling abandoned by God if not, angry with him personally. Uninspired in my dreams/goals, studies, also of going into journalism, let alone this life. Just ready to checkout, I’ve had so much unfair loss, pain, in this unasked for life, 😥😭😥lastly know I’ve shared a lot here, but wanted to be transparent and vulnerable if anything, thank you Gia for sharing your story, journey, healing, struggles also.💔🌏💔 I’m finding it hard to believe in this life, let alone remain here on this ravaging planet, perhaps this life, it is better for some more than others.😰😑😭 #GriefHurts #CheckingOut 💔🌏💔
