Hey Dustin in case it helps: what we do for verifying overlap/miss is roll out 6 feet of Blue shop towel on the ground and hold it down with a couple rocks. You want to lay it out so that 3 feet is on one pass and 3 feet is in the next pass. If you've got a miss it shows up clear as day on the shop towel. We repeat again for the other side of the boom on the next two passes and repeat every season. Have a great season!
With the snow event and the rain that followed the Asquith area received right around 1 & 3/4 inches according to my rain gauge. I was surprised when I went into the city yesterday how much water is still lying in the fields and ditches east of town. I was told by the lady doing the census that the school buses had to stop running as the grids were too wet to maneuver for a few days. Let’s hope for a repeat of that ( without the snow ) first part of June! Best of luck with the rest of your seeding.
