@@PlantBasedBride I got the Koala. It's got all the features I've ever wanted in a journal. I wasn't brave to test paint but now you did it, I can't wait to do a bit of painting adventure so thank you for you video ❤️

I bought one of these as a Christmas present for my aunt and filled it in with a complete setup for 2021 and I really liked the design of the cover and the quality wasn’t too bad either, I’m just sad that they are sold out since then and I never found a website were they still had them in stock
I love the video! 1. Your voice is so relaxing! 2. Thank you for this detailed review. I have been looking for a new bullet journal and now I got a great extra option to add to my list! Again love the video ❤️❤️
I used the Jumping Fox notebook last year and definitely liked it, but wanted to try something different this year in 2023, so got one of these. Happy with it so far!!! U are absolutely right, those dots are almost invisible even close up
I used the dachshund journal last year and bought the sloth one for this year! I use and abuse my journals and paint directly in them with gouache and have never experienced bleeding nor any notable shadowing. The dots are a bit too light for my liking but it is a great quality notebook.
I’m new to bullet journaling and the first journal I bought was from Scribble & Dot. I agree the presentation is lovely, my tissue paper even included a seal. I love the key and index since it’s something I didn’t have to worry about starting. However, I’m sure as I get more experienced with BUJO I might want to do my own. Although, I love my Scribble & Dot and would like to buy others. I’m so happy to have stumbled on your page as your videos have made me feel less anxious to get started. Thank you and look forward to seeing all your amazing videos!
Nicely priced and very similar to the Archer and Olive. I would use this as just a “journal.” No painting. No markers. Just pen. I just need to say this........ I discovered the Archer and Olive before they swept the bullet journal world. Their products are gorgeous and they are such a force to be reckoned that they actually made almost every competitor change their design and GSM. That says.....A LOT.
Omg yes! Finally one with almost invisible dots! Exactly what I need! Mine is for art and a little journaling so this would be so perfect. Every. Other. One. Has SUPER DARK lines.
I'm currently using notebook therapy bullet journal and I like it but I don't mind shopping around. Might order this one for creative journaling. The fact it's a UK company makes me so excited bc shipping is less expensive.
I have just filled a Scribble & Dot. I am now trying a new brand and really miss the light dots. With drawing it is nice not to see dots as part of the drawing. But still nice to have them for guidance when writing. It did great with watercolour and posca. I was really hard on it, and it held up sooo well. My only issue is that I need more than 160 pages.
@@PlantBasedBride citrus book bindery. It is gorgeous. But I didn’t know the dots were so dark. It is sooo annoying now that I am used to the super subtle dots. But my own fault. The books are handmade. I should have specified that I wanted subtle dots - have one for next year with the right specs. The paper is 140gsm but no ghosting or bleeding - brilliant paper. Super expensive, but you decide cover, paper quality, page count, if the corners should be rounded. Mine is 240 pages. No preprinted pages. No page numbers. Everything to my preference. My goodness. I am using the Koala version of this journal for 2021 and I love it, but I totally agreed with your first reaction to the pen test page's lack of dots. I don't use a key so I've stuck something over the top of that and usually I don't use an index, but I'm using it this time :) :) Also as I bought my journal a long time ago, my paper is not white in it. I'm not sure if they changed the whole range to white paper since then as they were only selling the koala and daschund ones when I bought mine. they've got 4 more in their range now.
@@PlantBasedBride I’ve never used white paper so I don’t mind the colour. It is my favourite journal I’ve used so far in 4 years and I’m pleased it’s in the U.K.
I love this brand and having used and Archer and Olive as my journal in 2020 can really recommend them to anyone in the UK looking for a notepad that performs as well, if not better and is much more reasonably priced. Have been in touch with the company and they do plan to stock different sizes including a square notepad! Genuinely think that this is a strong competition to A&O on this side of the Atlantic 💕
I love your reviews 💞 This year I use a Dingbats bullet and my style is more minimal than I expected (before I usually enjoyed for decoring and painting, but I don't feel enough insipiring).
I tried out Scribble & Dot for my first bullet journal last year and loved it! This year around I went with them again and picked up the taupe sloth design however I’ve found that some of the pages don’t line up with each other, which makes drawing over the middle of the book very frustrating 😞 other than that it’s been a great product at an affordable price! Edit: also I want to add that the pages in my journal from last year were more of an ivory colour and the pen loop was a lot tighter - my new one is quite loose and doesn’t hold any of my pens tightly.
Ah interesting! I didn’t notice that in mine but I’ve seen that problem come up in pretty much every notebook I’ve tried - must be a common misprint/misalignment issue!
After your video, I just fell in love with such a notebook, the color and texture of the covers are just heartbreaking. it is a pity that you did not use it for yourself, alas, this product is not sent to my country
I have a Scribble & Dot notebook (with a dachshund on the cover) at home and I'm excited to use it but I'm first using an Ottergami journal. I love your videos a lot, they are always so calming and aesthetically + visually pleasing.
@@PlantBasedBride You're welcome! :) I also didn't know it until doing a bullet journal search on Amazon. I like it a lot, but it smudges a little sometimes.
@@50sRockChick I like it a lot. But it smudges a little and has a bit of ghosting. So, I wouldn't recommend it if that bothers you. Also if you just want it for the templates, I don't think they are the best selling point. But with that in mind if you are still interested I would recommend it :)
When I use my white markers over a red mistake or bleed through I find It bleeds and makes the mess larger. Posca, uniball, signo broad, gelly roll 10 and the Faber Castells. I also tried white gouache. Ended using paper to cover.
I have the doggy light blue. The dots are both incredibly tiny AND light - a super great plus in my book and the opposite for many others. It would be great if you can make a video comparing dots in various notebook brands: like size, color, and darkness of the dots. (And maybe color of the paper overall). The paper soaks up my fountain pens, which is also a great plus for preventing smudging, though it seems to make them a bit flat, kind of like very thick copy paper. So if you use fountain pens and fancy inks beware. With regular ink it can be a great plus. (Elizabeth, when are you going to go down the fountain pen rabbit hole :-) Thanks to Ferris wheel you're one step closer!)... The cover is indeed very soft and pretty but I read in other reviews that it gets dirty quickly and bc it's porous it's uncleanable (unlike say, vinyl covers). Since mine is the light blue it means it's not portable - which if 2021 is like 2020 is not a problem 😂. When I first opened it I was so shocked by the strong deep PURPLE tone it gives off in daylight that I put it back in the box and thought of giving it as a gift to someone. It's so cool and pink-blue-purple that it makes copy paper look warm yellow LOL. The pungent smell of the paper and the cover also put me off. Finally, I found the back pocket distasteful with that glued extra piece of paper whose edges are hanging perhaps due to not wanting the glue to bleed out. But it looks so clumsy as if I did it myself. Others like Dingbats have beautiful pockets... The page numbers are a squarely computer font that, combined with the freezing cool toned paper gives off a sterile hospital/Pentagon/scifi movie vibe. Not my kind of vibe... overall quite a polarizing notebook, which of course is not a bad thing in itself. I'm still looking for that perfect one... Thanks E for a great review! I was hoping you'd do this one.

I ordered this the second I saw a review noting the very light dots although I was months away from needing a new notebook - I’m easily distracted and deeply dislike how dark standard dots are, so I was so psyched. I ended up giving it to my mum because I hadn’t found a birthday present for her and I conveniently had it lying around. Now I can’t get one for myself anymore because they stopped shipping to EU countries due to Brexit. It’s a bit of a bummer. I also really like the cool pinky cream paper (it’s listed as cream!), don’t love a total white but not yellowy ivories either. I hope they open up shipping to the EU.
