NgCblock apparently my replay to your question is not uploading so i have to replay to myself hehe."faz isso aí faz isso aí você vai parar ela dai eu bato nela"Do that do that you are gonna stop her(from moving)then i'll hit her.
The secret to Pereira's left hook is that he never brings his elbow back behind his shoulder, which is an extremely common mistake, if you do this is disconnects your arm from your shoulder and hip rotation, putting all the pressure on the shoulder to do the work, and you have to re-connect it to your shoulders and hips when it comes back infront of the shoulder, which you can do in training, but extremely hard in an actual match. It also widens the hook making it easier to see and block and it's much slower. The biggest problem with bringing your elbow behind the shoulder is that your hips will rotate fully before your arm gets to the target, meaning unless you over commit and over swing there will be no hip-drive for power on impact, just the force your shoulder generates. By Keeping his elbow infront and having his hips continue to turn after impact he gets his bodyweight into the punch. This is what people mean when they say power comes from the legs. However lately I see so many people, MMA fighters in particular turn their hips faster than their punch and lose the weight on their punches because it stops rotating by the time the punch lands. Pereira is super gifted, his ability to relax in intense fights and maintain such excellent technique under pressure means he will have K.O. power through a 5 round battle. It's why even when he may lose the first couple rounds he ends up winning via K.O. like vs Adesanya in kickboxing.
@@rcronico1 been kickboxing 13yrs and am Currently a striking coach. Didn’t start throwing my shots like this until a year ago. I experiment a ton with body mechanics and styles and movement, partly because I am naturally ambidextrous and I’ve found if you throw your punches this way, they take very little energy, have almost no telegraph, and still have your bodyweight behind them. Extremely effective and efficient way of striking.
Interesting, when I was a street fighter, I used to punch like that and drop people all the time, but now I'm older and only train in the gym boxing and kickboxing and haven't punched anyone with the new techniques I was taught by putting the hip into it.. it's all for nothing.
