They need to make swapping between healing and damage seamless.

I mean, the things with those recent ‘buffs’ is that they are not really buffs, but rather, adjustments to healing numbers to offset dps passive. They basically reverted him to pre S9 state where he was kinda playable, but not fantastic or anything, and as ML7 mentioned, his lack of offensive capabilities was never addressed properly

Few things LW desperately needs. I have about 350 hours in LW and a 55% win rate.

I think they need to speed up the switch between healing and damage or use separate hands like Moira so it’s significantly more fluid and even a passive of a blossom slowly charging while he is doing damage so when you switch back it’s already ready. And his healing range needs increased a bit, lots of maps I can’t reach across in the area the teams play at.

The main problems with Lifeweaver are 1) his inability to contribute offensively seamlessly while healing, and 2) his lack of options to enable his teammates with his cooldowns, mainly with Life Grip. We all still feel like switching between thorns and blossom is too clunky and slow. That transition needs to be smoothed out, so that you can be immediately impactful the moment you switch. This can be done by allowing blossom to charge up passively while you're shooting thorns, so that when you switch back to blossom you can immediately throw out a heal without having to wait a second to get a heal out. That's such a simply quality of life change that would make a huge difference, allowing LW players to switch to thorns more often without sacrificing healing output. With Life Grip, even tho it's good at saving a single teammate, it denies your allies the space and positioning they've worked on claiming, making your allies feel like they don't have agency over how they wanna play. This detrimental effect is felt a lot more when you pull your tank, because suddenly you no longer have a frontline and have given up space for your enemy to retake that ground. I feel like a simple rework to Life Grip that allows it to function 2 ways would alleviate this: TAPPING the button for life grip merely encases your ally in that flower bubble to reduce incoming damage and/or maybe even apply a regen healing affect over a short period of time, and then HOLDING the button for life grip would allow you to pull your ally back to your position. This would not only give LW players more skill expression because they have to make a choice about whether or not to pull or just apply the flower bubble, but it would also allow your allies to maintain their agency over their positioning while still supporting them with utility and not just raw heals.

I have mained LW since his release back in season 4. I LOVE LW, I LOVE his kit and he’s so fun to play… However the continuous buffs to the wrong places for him, the devs even admitting they don’t know where to healthily place more power into his kit… maybe it’s just time for a rework. Clearly they don’t understand the changes that are ACTUALLY needed for LW. They just want him to be a healbot which idk about any of you other LW players but I don’t wanna be a just a healbot.

After all of this buffs, now I'm kinda sure that blizzard is racist about Lw and they don't want to thai hero have meta or be in S tier

  • @WavyKiing

I find his petal quite useful and fun. It has kept me alive against flankers like tracer and sombra, while being able to peel for my team. I also like to think of it as a second pull. I’ve used it many times to save teammates who’ve been shattered, grav’d, slept, frozen, etc.

To make him playable he needs to charge heal faster and cancel or make reloading heal much much faster .

I love playing him, but its mainly for the playstyle, not the effectiveness. They refuse to commit to either the high-healing or high-utility direction so he ends up being mediocre at everything.

  • @groguwiwi

They should reduce the Lifegrip CD! 20s is a lot 🙄

  • @Someone-fv3iv

🌸 Here are the changes that I would LOVE to see the devs make for LW 🌸

  • @therealsamtheman

Tree should have constant minor healing so you can always feel it and it counteracts DOT like Dynamite

  • @Waffl3B1T

    F tier?

  • @ProjectSpitfire

His kit is just not consistently useful; Lucio is better if you want more team wide mobility, if you want to save from big ults lamp and suzu are better than pull, and his healing output feels slow because of the charge up. Only thing he's good for is Rein catapult cheese plays.

  • @lovetemplex

It would be cool if when he does damage the healing flower fills up so the moment you switch to helaing you can already have max 80 health charged for your flower to send out.

  • @rubenlotter6302

I've been thinking that some nice buffs/changes to make him feel better would be to reduce his super long reload anims, and to make thorns charge his healing blossoms, cause he sometimes feels sluggish, especially with how high-paced the game is. His dueling capability isn't terrible if you can aim thorns, but if you run out of ammo you're done for since it takes 2-3 business days to reload.

  • @Remingtonacct

The heal should charge passively so that you can attack and balance from there. The way the character is right now, the charged heal would have to be way more to compensate no dmg while holding charge. Crazy suggestion: LW respawns at tree if its up.
