This the kind of content I need. I think I’d orgasm if one of the guys that understood the game to this level ever did a film analysis of one of their top games.
Sadly. If Ray Lewis came into the league today, he would get fined in eventually cut, unless he played like a completely different person. He probably would succeed, but it wouldn’t be the Ray we all know and respect.
If you think about it to be Honest, those same 4 teams that you just named pretty much dominated that entire decade of the 2000s from 2000 to 2009, Ravens, Patriots, Colts and Steelers.
Tom brady speaks highly of this man to this very day. Ray, as a Patriots fan, i hated you like no other, but now i respect your art, your greatness made Tom shine even brighter.
The ravens were the only team I was nervous about the pats playing during the few year they went back and forth… well them and Von Miller and the rest of the broncos pass rush back then. They killed Brady and the O-line consistently
As a Patriots fans, I think the 2000 -2021 football era will never get old. I miss all the talent that was put into the game back then. Todays football just doesnt capture me
I still remember being glued to the set watching the Ravens play against the undefeated Patriots. 2007 wk 13. Brady attempted a 4th & inches with 1:48 to go, and failed. The Ray Lewis jumped up and celebrated, only to discover his sideline had called a timeout at the last second. Then a false start on the Patriots the ensuing play. Brady went on to get the 1st down with the slowest scramble ever. The Patriots went on to win that game. Man!! The look on Ray Lewis face after that timeout said it all. The only loss for the Patriots that year came in the Super Bowl to Eli Manning and the NY GIANTS... I believe the Ravens game gave them the blueprint.
One big thing...Ed Reed gave Tom Brady and Peyton Manning NIGHTMARES!Ed Reed had a clairvoyant sense of tracking the ball in the air and Troy Polamalu also, had the clairvoyant sense.
It just shows how much Peyton was on another level. ALl the franchises new Peyton was on another level. The most feared many to ever pick up the football and it wasn't even close.
Brady & his sheer will-- Manning & his cerebral mentality-- and alllll the offensive weapons they BOTH had thru the years..... was just an out n out epic battle every time they played against 1 another. BUT, when either of them had to inevitably square off against Ray Lewis & that ever dangerous & vaunted Raven's Defense (especially in the playoffs) ....you just knew that we, as fans, were about to be spoiled & treated to a legendary match-up that was filled to the brim with some of the greatest players to ever step out onto the gridiron. Manning, Brady, Moss, Harrison, Wayne, Gronk, Welker, Brown, Branch, and Thomas, etc..... VS Lewis, Reed, Suggs, Boulware, Woodson, Ngata, Dumervil, etc. What's not to love!?!? That's a dream match-up that we'll more then likely never see the likes of again SMH RIP to this long lost golden era of legends & all-pros!
That 2012 AFCCG was the Ravens magnum opus against the Patriots. Absolute domination in Foxboro. Then the divisional game in 2014 between these two was even more impressive as the Pats came back from a 14 point deficit TWICE.
I love this part of sports, the mental. Just knowing what ur oppenant is gonna do makes you so much faster and dnagerous. Alot of guys just get by on athleticism, but this part right here?! W0o0off you can hear it in rays voice "you come middle im coming full speed"
As a former LB it’s 3 thing im getting to say 1. A LB is a real man’s position 2. A LB is the is the MVP of the defense 3. Ray Lewis is the best LB to ever play the position.
I want see a docuseries where the key players, coordinators and head coaches tell stories about facing each other in Key games throughout the history of the NFL. Discussing the prep process, the notes they made, the stories about practice, and how they played out in the actual game. While one team is talking about their process the other team is talking about theirs the key to the show is talking about they strategies, secret observations they made, and if it worked or not…I can see that being a Omaha type of show in ESPN
As a Patriots fan I do have to say Ray Lewis has always been one of my favorite players to watch play the game of football. so much so that I created him on madden and put him on my own patriot's roster.
@@jumpforjoy6Brady’s TEAMS won. I’m so sick of nobody giving credit to his teammates😂 if Malcolm butler doesn’t intercept that pass against Seattle, Brady would have been 3-3 in the super bowl with 3 straight losses. His defense got the ball back over and over and over against Atlanta. (Brady had a pick 6 in that game) they put up 13 against the rams but because the patriots defense was consistently top tier, they still won. I mean come on.
@@stephanea5364 I don’t argue you it. I’m saying it’s not just the qb out there playing. Brady’s first 3 super bowls were incredible defensive teams. You really think they won in 01 just because of Brady? Delusional, wipe your fathead off
I miss this level of football. You don’t have this today. Defensive players are just basically separated into rushers and defensive backs now. There’s really no defensive field generals anymore.
People don't understand stand how great Mr Lewis was. I can remember as a younger guy Mr Manning only beat Ray with field goals and 2012 they erase Lee Evans TD and 09 or 2010 Ray Rice & Ray Lewis went to Foxboro and ran over da Pats
Manning and Brady had to make sure Ray didn’t guess correctly , with Suggs coming for them, also they have to find Ed Reed before and after snap. Also Ngata stuffing the middle, Man what of defense

Man won 2 Super Bowl while in the same conference as Brady Manning Big Ben and Rivers and the bengals weren’t good in the playoffs but Palmer with Chad and Dalton with green was a problem
Damn 96-2012? Long dang career for linebacker of your caliber. Well done. I miss the last of old school football. Tell these young soft players to stop with feelings. Hated the Ravens but respected you guys. As a long time Pats fan, (i was growing up through those losing years of 70's and 80's) the Ravens during Brady era always made us uncomfortable knowing Pats had to beat you guys to get to next level.
Ray just explained why sooo many people were fooled into thinking Payton was better than Brady in the beginning, cuz the way Brady plays was boring to watch, not realizing he does all the little things you want out of your QB perfectly. 🐐
It’s amazing to hear Hall of Fame players talk about each other but for anyone who doesn’t realize what Ray is saying Brady didn’t have the luxury of being able to throw it as deep as he wants on damn near every play because of Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne well, playing in a dome. No Brady was playing in quarterback hell up in Foxboro Massachusetts. With converted quarterbacks and Walmart cashiers as his main targets so he had to break the game down in a way Peyton didn’t have to.
I need about 10 more hours of this. I could listen to Ray talk forever.
This the kind of content I need. I think I’d orgasm if one of the guys that understood the game to this level ever did a film analysis of one of their top games.
I WILL WATCH ALL OF THE RAVENS DEFENSE WITH RAY LEWIS

Gotta include Brian Dawkins in this convo if we’re talking great safety’s from the late 90’s/00’s
