Good job done.. Kind of transformation which i am planning to do for a long time.. I have some doubt, whether the head rest will hold support if placed away from wall, 🤔, or do we need to add any sheet of ply till bottom on back side.. A reply will be of great help

Thank you so much...,so for the headboard....use two strong pieces of wood on the sides of the headboard...I'm talking about those two side boards with the shinny pieces of nails on the headboard....the reason for them is for the design and strength of the headboard...this is because you will be attaching the added top part on the headboard and the original headboard together using it...I use nails but u can scraws also
