As a mechanic for Bowlero I can say that there are a lot of Bowlero’s that aren’t maintained. River Grove is one of them. Also, during the weekdays the rates are $9. Weekends are $11. But regardless, still an insane rate.
When l bowled there two months ago with my son,we had a certificate a friend gave me for two hours of bowling. I actually enjoyed it. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the lanes were oiled nicely. I'm glad l go to Waveland Bowl in weekdays from 9am to 4pm for the two dollar games and three dollar games at Diversey River Bowl on Thursdays from noon to 6pm.
@@michaelmcdonough7949 ooh Waveland's awesome! I used to bowl during those times when I went to school over there! I can believe that this Bowlero has potential, I thought the lanes were decent, but they gotta work on their pinsetters!
For the lane conditions, that was a pretty good second game! I’ve never been to this one but for $10.99 a game It really doesn’t seem worth it. I think that’s the most expensive I’ve seen at a Bowlero. I’ll stick to Deer Park where at least I’ll have GS-X lol. Good bowling and great video!
Thanks! Yeah, I was a little off that night, so I can't fully blame the lane conditions xD $10.99 is outrageous for bowling, but I did go on a Friday night. But still, for that price, I could get 2 hrs of bowling at Lakeside 😭
Okay, I will get eaten alive here but, that is ridiculous for game rates. Plus the pinsetter kept malfunctioning. I'm getting Bowlero Avondale flashbacks all over again. Just glad that my recent trips to Bowlero Kyrene and Via Linda weren't train wrecks like yours.
$10.99 a game is insane. One of the many reasons I avoid Bowlero like the plague. Most of them are horribly maintained, and usually staffed with a bunch of 16 year old kids that couldn't care less about the customer.
Wow 10.99 per game! For that price you’d think they’d beable to afford a person to dust gutters and center caps. This proves why bowleros get a bad name and aren’t lasting. They don’t upkeep yet charge outrageous prices.
It’s probably because it’s in the Chicago Area. Everything is ridiculously expensive there. The taxes and prices are insane pretty much everywhere there. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s how it is.
As Henry said, Chicago land area mixed with Bowlero isn't necessarily a pleasant combo. There are Bowleros out here that are good, but most stink. Regardless, they all charge an arm and a leg to bowl unless you land an hourly discount xD
Wow for $11 a game you'd think you'd get at least a lane with more than 11 pins in the rack, maybe they charge a buck per game per pin in the lane? Heck, maybe have a mechanic that actually works so you don't get 180 stops or ball calls every other frame with all the linage $ they're getting from open play? Nah... Sad tbh. Typical Bowlero tho, sad to see centers like this not only open but making $. It's all a sham, run the machines down and make strings look like a good thing when they go in. I legit fear for the future of competitive bowling
@@PinDominator 2 peas in a pod, we def feel alike on this. They want ALL strings I heard in all Bowleros in a few years, ofc the prices instead of going down they'll jack up even more "Oh hey we got all new machines!!" They LOVE to spin the negatives to seem positive and will gouge $ any way possible. It's very sad to see the game in this state, I've loved it since childhood and devoted my life to it trying to better it :(
I also apologize for the inappropriate music video playing above my lane...
It's good for the intro, but none of them like it of this metal music.
@DV3THJVCKØ28 I meant at the bowlero, I like the intro music!
Nice split conversation on the 3rd frame. Great video!😃
@DemetriusReese-so2qm thank you!!

I use to do front desk between two centers and we never broke past $5.50 a game. Hate to know what it is now.
Both are indeed extreme rates. It's difficult to find a nice Bowlero :(

PinDominator, It's Bowlero River Grove Another 40 Lanes Right?
Today I got league and lane 23 was on repair and one piece of the machine vote sparks and the mechanic almost burned his hand

$10.99 a game?!? I can get an hour for twice that price at my local bowling alley. Is Bowlero really that expensive?

@@Rep2369 I agree! It's sad, and it doesn't look promising for the future of the sport. I'm trying to enjoy the free falls while they last.
