Dear Harsha,
Sugar is not supposed Tobe mixed when Jaggery is prepared with Pure Sugarcane juice. That's why jaggery of purest form is normally brownish red or little black and this is good for health. Lot of people or sweet shops like Emerald use this jaggery.
Jaggery cooked by mixing sugar gives that golden color shown in your episode is as good as eating sugar. If I am correct 40%of that golden color jaggery is sugar and bad for those people who doesn't want to eat sugar and such people are cheated with this gold color sugar-jaggery.
This mixing of sugar is done because the difference between sugar used and final product Gold color jaggery sold is about Rs.15 per kilo.
This is the age of adultery and its unfortunate and sad

Bellam which cost 45 rupees have more chemicals. Cherukubellam which costs more than 100 per k. g. has less chemicals. It is better to use cherukubellam in our daily life even though it cost more.
