I like how they just excuse the fact that the red queen murdered so many people just because she was sad about tarts like what the fuck

i think bc that her head became kinda big and tyats bc of the freaking tarts
I mean she did hit her head and on her crowing day the crown broke and ppl laughed-
She went through a LOT. Her sister stole the tarts which lead to her running away and hitting her head which caused her head to grow and in the following years in her coronation, her crown broke because her head was too big and the people also laughed at her and her parents also just let them mock their own daughter.
the creators of this film really said let's turn that weird dream i had after eating too much cheese into a movie 🤪🙈

If we go with the theory that this is all just a dream, I think Hatter is just a version of Alice's dad which is why she was so sad to never see him again. She was finally letting go of her dads death.

you know you are extremely spoiled when you become a villain and dictator of an entire country killing a lot of people because your sister ate the last tart and then blames you... Wow, i just realized that in the first movie the red queen killed that frog because he ate her pie... That's a good reference.
Queen of hearts was next level crazy 😭😭
I think the White Queen's partially at fault, she _is_ the one who told Alice to go into the past for Hatter's family (who coincidently were alive, not that she would know that) and I really hate how she's forgiven so easily by Red Queen. White was the favored child and took advantage of that to lie on Red, which caused her to go and get herself hurt and the brain trauma is what causes most of Red's aggression and irrational behavior. Then for years White refuses to own up and say, "Yes, I ate the tart, I'm the reason why Iracabeth got a big head and I'm truly sorry.". I think if Red's head was fine, she wouldn't have made that outburst and lost her right to the throne. I'm not saying she should be excused, but White also made her like this and it was such a bad ending to the movie for me that all it takes is a sorry _now_ after _years_ of trouble for White Queen to be forgiven.
Edit: Also, let's not forget I'm pretty sure White Queen gaslighted her, because she would just _not_ own up to anything and pretended like she did no wrong all these years when Red _knew_ she was the reason why all this happened.
I get that but at the end of the day... it was just a tart like it really wasn’t that deep 😭😭 girlie built a whole villain origin story around a TART. Dear lord help us all 😭😭

When I was younger I was OBSESSED with Alice in Wonderland so when this sequel came out I made sure I saw it in theaters ASAP. (I also remember having a crush on Mad Hatter when I was real young, and I called myself Mad Maddy all the time 😂)

I agree with that. I bet there was a bit more to the rivalry but the tart is just the catalyst and so it was central to the queens.

Okay but like, I kind of want a third and final movie of Alice in Wonderland with maybe her mom and the guy that came with them accidently journey to wonderland with alice to see what she's been up to.
I think the Red Queen didn't turn to evil JUST becauss of the tarts. It's more of her being laughed at and embarrassed at her, supposed to be, coronation!The reasoning of this humiliation? Her head growing large due to an accident! I think the tart thing and the accident just made her more bitter about the world and the embarrassment just drove her more into that evil side! Maybe if she didn't got into the accident, didn't get humiliated, and got to be queen of Underland, she could've learned to love her kingdom more and didn't went off taking people's heads off and throwing them into rivers!

So this one has no correlation with the book Through the Looking Glass, except some characters (like the tweedles and the White Queen who's not actually in Alice in Wonderland) Time is not an og character 😂

When it came out I loved this movie but the more I think about it the more I prefer the first one 😂
In fact, in the book Hatter mentioned that Time is a he and does not pay any attention to him after the Red Queen blamed him for 'killing time' during a concert. (And I like that Time is not a villain, more of an antihero - and he did smile in the end!)

2:47 mark and I'm asking myself "Hold on. Since when did one of the Weasley boys get into Disney?"
When I saw the Doctor dude, instead of my mind going to sherlock, i was like: 'oh my gosh, thats the teacher from handsome devil' 😂
Well, it's not about the tart. It's about being blamed by something she didn't do, being betrayed by her sister, and everyone beliving her sister's lie, cause she was clearly the favorite child, insted of her. That got her upset and than she ran away and got hurt, causing a few problems because of the trauma, including the fact that her head would never go back to the normal size. That also caused people, her own subjects so ridicule her in her own house in front of her family and none of them try to defend her from it. Because of the trauma she ended up agressive and had an outburst, what caused her to loose the crown that was rightfully hers since she's the eldest. All of the things that happened to her combined and turned her into a crazy, childish, agressive person. Yes, this comment is comming kinda late, but i just had to wright it 'v'
Call me crazy, but I love this movie....and even a bit more than the first one....I just love how they show the backstory of some chatacters....I love both Alice's movies....IDC what other people think of my opinion....I just love them....but as long as someone respect my opinion...I respect others too....and I swear to God, I hate Disney for making me almost cry when the Mad Hatter almost died of sadness or in the last scene when Alice says goodbye to her friends....
Same lol, I love movies like this because the story is pretty wild, and it's like someone just made all my imaginations as a kid come to life through these type of movies. They are my comfort movies

@@Ariadne4 Yeah, I also feel like it understood the vibe of the book more than the first movie, I liked that they did a completely different story to the book, because you don’t have to look at it as a botched adaptation (like the first movie) but just a movie inspired by it. I feel like they understand that the book tends to turn real world logic on its head and does things like making things that wouldn’t be a big deal irl into one, also the going to the real world and back and all of the ridiculous stuff, I love it, it feels like a child’s fantasy world, but still makes sense and has deeper messages. It doesn’t have to be overly edgy to illustrate a point.

The first one was definitely better story wise. But i really do like watching this film. Yeah, its silly and with low stakes catalysts, but its SO BEAUTIFUL to see and Wonderland is 🤩 and Alice looks sooo cool and beautiful throughout the whole movie that i really do love this movie. I just love looking at it haha. Its Wonderland overload and im here for it

I don’t know about anyone else but I had a childhood crush on Alice
I kinda feel for the queen though, maybe her reason is a little shallow but I understand being looked over for the other sibling, that and I would be pissed if my younger sibling got something that was meant for me. I guess you just have to grow up in that kind of a family to understand, it deeply hurts.

This film had absolutely nothing to do with either Alice book. "Through the Looking Glass" was about Alice moving across the countryside which was laid out like a chess board so she could become a queen. She meets the red and white queens, the white knight, etc. I have around 18 versions of the Alice story on DVD and they're all better than this one, even the Czech one by Jan Svankmajer made more sense.
I prefer the First film over this one, i liked the dark look of the first one this one had a dark and colorful tone and atmosphere with it and it does not go well together.

I do really enjoy your reactions, except for one......thing..... Would it kill you to not make the most obnoxious noises in the world when you.... I can't say sing along with, or even "try" to do so, because that is not singing, nor an attempt made to sing. It's more of a crude impression of a dying bird of some sort. And you can do the "well it's my channel and the more people tell me they hate it, the more I'm going to keep doing it" thing, of course that is your prerogative. However.
