SYM Maxsym 508TL super scooter

The latest vid from theloftybiker the 2022 SYM Maxsym 508TL super scooter. I was very lucky to get my hands on this bike, it's nearly new 508TL. The bike was bought new from Damerells and the customer found the bike too big and heavy. It is now for sale.

Nice, it'll be my next SYM. And driving in Engeland is more fun then in Belgium! On my Cruisym 300 I changed the tyres to Michelin City Grip 2, 100x better grip even in wet.

In UK you want the anlas winter grip 2 tyres for riding..great for winter but also an all weather tyre you can ride on.

Thanks Lofty, fellow 6’5” here. I found the Forza 750 a bit comfier but this was a close second. The Sym was roomier and better than most of the 350cc scoots for legroom, in my opinion.
Love the noise that this thing makes - it reminds me of a road-going jet ski !!

Nice review I definitely prefer sym 508 tl than forza 750 r tmax , and of course for daily commuting forza 350 or adv 350 are the best....

As a rider of a BMW I am looking for a Maxi scooter aside because of the practicallity of it around town or as a daily commuter. I am not as tall as you are, about 6.2 with in comparison of my body not so long legs. I was looking at a Kymco Ak550 wich I really like, but recently also the Sym. I really like the looks of the Sym. I have to testride both.

Te 500cc type scoots are ace but the 350cc scoots are also worth a look...the Honda Forza 350cc is a wonderfull twist and go with no Chain...thanks for watching

I can understand the senior owner returning a heavy scooter. I downsized from a Forza 750 to a 350 for this reason. I hope the sales staff at Damerells advised him that there are excellent lighter options available, e.g vespa 300 gts, honda sh 350 (my current bike) 172kg.
I personally don't see the point of buying a heavy, large capacity scooter (500cc plus), when a fair amount of the extra power goes into overcoming the inertia of the heavier weight.
When I moved down to the Forza 350 from the 750, I hardly noticed any decrease in performance.

Quite correct Geoff...the gent was adamant he wanted the maxsym it was special ordered...he's now on a forza 350

Good decision on his part. I realised after I had made my post, I may have inadvertantly destroyed the sales of large capacity scooters, in just a few words! Fortunately, not many people take notice of me, yourself and a few others excepted.

How much was the average consumption in L/Km in city and outside the city? I have my xmax 400 and it gives me 4.2L/100km and am afraid if I get this one it will be around 5.5+ L/100km. Thanks
