I feel when they Retooled the original Que into comic book Wheeljack that version was the superior now see Que Version and the S.S Que the new one is better my question is will the do a Gamer Edition Wheeljack based on the comic book design.
Yes. He seems to take some similarities to the original toy. I am really loking forward to him i don't really care about the backpack. Also lack of paint make s him more fun to mess with.

That is a fair point for sure, but this will be a 25$ figure. If we have to do the painting ourselves don't you think they could cut some of the cost out?

I’m just a bit surprised how no third party company’s have picked up on what dotm fans wanted, a good wheel jack figure.
I was kinda afraid they would either never do it or dupe us with giving him an inaccurate head. It was now or never, and I think the dev team needs an award for not browsing reddit opinions releasing this dude. + DOTM Wheeljack is fucking awesome
It looks fine, I guess, for a SS Deluxe release. I don´t really care, as I despise most Bayformer designs. Saving my bucks for the TFO Starscream when it´s leaked.
I dont want to get a reputation for being the insufferable fan, but it feels like we are being charged more for less sometimes. I do not think its acceptable for a 25$ figure needing so much paint detail. Studio series used to mean something different, no? At one point it was more of a premium line. Not masterpiece for sure but refined. This seems like a figure we could have gotten in the original movie line rather than in a studio series release.
Facts studio series fell off and honestly the line had issues already hasbro did not care to fix I’m tired of it 🤦♂️
Ngl if the license is this expensive and takes up the budget for a figure, they should just bump it up to the next class size just to get better engineering and the license

I too nearly got the Takara deluxe back in 2011, I got it of Amazon but it unfortunately got lost in transit from Japan. I am for gonna get this guy and am happy to see him as a licensed Mercedes Benz E550!
Personally I prefer to wait til I see in-hand reviews of these figures because sadly Hasbro product images don't always do the figure justice. I don't expect dynamic posing from Que, he was a scientist and inventor, not a fighter... though I wonder what these weapons are that they gave him... but honestly as someone who was lucky to get the original DOTM Que... he's cool, but he's far from perfect. He has no knee bend due to transformation, he has hollow gaps in his calves facing forward... and he isn't 100% accurate to his on screen counterpart. But again, he isn't meant to be a fighter so on one hand I'm fine with him... though I wish that maybe at the very least he was a sniper... so he'd have a rifle or something but... eh. I can give him one from another figure.
My biggest question is how they'll do Skids and Mudflap... because they're so small, smaller than Bumblebee.
It could use a premium finish but shape wise everything that needs to be there is there to match the one onscreen well enough.
i would say absolutely not. but I would also say as an older person g1 remake chasing. I realize some peoples first transformers were the movies and thats what they like. So if thats what they like and they've waited for this stuff. then great.

The car mode is pretty dope, an S class Benz. Bot mode is trash. However, I am happy for those who like douche bag bay bots. Hasbro could have done a bit better with the bot mode for fans of this sub-lore.
Good for you ChrisJaam for holding out & not perpetuating scumbag scalper prices. The scalper aftermarket is outta' pocket. These jerk-offs think they're "making money" peddling toys. I myself love TF & I don't need to "Make money" peddling toys. Example, I'm in the middle of renovating one of my guest rooms into my studio/collection room. When that is done I will be selling a lot of my bots for either MSRP & or below MSRP. Why?

Personally this new one is in my opinion a decent figure despite the lack of paint and the backpack the sculpt and proportions are better than the old one
Also think of ot as a bold Hasbro W because how it already boosted chances of us seeing an official or 3rd party Premium Finish or MPM or encourage someone to make 3D models or statues of this dude. Its been way too long, SS really pulled the "Fine, I'll do it myself."
I'm more or less on the fence with this one. May is already looking to be an insane Month with Age of the Primes releasing around the same time. I did preorder AOE Optimus, and Ironhide though. Hoping the same budget, and size went into Optimus as the ROTB Scourge Though Scourge as it's quirks the plastic quality, and articulation are really good for what it is. Detail seems to have fallen off on some of these movie figures since ROTBs. Compared to the detail, intricate engineering of most of those figures Wheeljack looks like he was released 10 odd years ago. Pretty sure the car is mostly clear plastic as the windows look heavily tinted as you can see through them. More silver paint would've improved the look a lot as with Optimus. Still the darker metallic gray looks so much better than a lot of the older figures from even a few years ago.
It's fine. I never cared for this design. So I won't be getting him.

The Optimus looks on point. The only kibble is on the back, which itself is nowhere near as bad as what we got with the original releases. At the very least it is shaped in such a way that it compliments the silhouette.

@Jam2-t5v uhhh with how good they can make a figure and able to get inspiration and or just cheat a little and see how the 3rd party figures handle transformation. Yeah. I say I can blame them

Yep and Hasbro wonder’s why people got issues with them I still can’t believe every movie trilogy bumblebee figure uses the same horrible mold that breaks when transformers but that’s hasbro for you ruining figures and collections with clear plastic and poor engineering

Not digging him really… He’s ugly, he’s ugly in the movie and he’s ugly in action figure form. You could make a Crypt Keeper crossover out of this mold and I would buy it. Vehicle mode looks great, but it’s not as good as the Soundwave Mercedes Benz we just got. I bought two of those! The blandness in Que’s body can be seen in the Last Knight Optimus we’re getting too. Again, another figure I am not pre ordering for. I hope they are around on Black Friday at way reduced prices. Que will probably be a figure completists who cannot find him will pay a lot of money for once he sells out…

I was there back then as a kid. There definitely wasn't much bumblebees and repaints. Especially for dotm. There were ofc the cyberverse deluxe and the leader bumblebee and in terms of repaints it was the exclusive stuff. I think why we didn't get a DOTM Wheeljac back then was the demand just wasn't there.
@@DarthRakdos0805 Nah almost every wave there was a new bumblebee and repaints were in abundance which led to clogged shelves. Maybe not in your area but it was sighted as a problem back then
@Chrisjaam From what I remember, K-Mart at the time had some deluxes like Sideswipe and Nitro Bumblebee(I still have that) but Walmart had more of exclusive repaints like I remember they had a wire shelf with deluxe hanging off that like the red and white Ratchet and the Walmart Sideswipe. I never saw a lot of Bumblebees. I remember a shockwave, megatron. It could be maybe just wrong timing but yeah never saw a lot of bumblebees shelfwarming.

If the clear plastic isn’t like rotb mirage he would be good and i have alot of figures i know what you mean but the less paint problem isn’t nothing new in SS or the problem with the stock images looking bad
I wanted to like it. Was it was it worth the wait? I would have to say no. So get this. There was a massive upgrade to the DOTM Soundwave in Studio Series compared to the original. I feel as if that had the opposite on this Que. Not to mention the shell forming. While the original one was a mess, this one feels like a huge cheat. Give up on a design? Just have car pieces move out of the way while you sandwich the two halves of the bot mode that hid under the car together. Studio Series rotb Wheeljack is a good example of that problem.

I chalk the cheap look up to Hasbro's abysmal product photography
The chest details doesn’t look deep enough. It’s as flat as TLK hound’s or ss Dino’s chests. Compared to jolt, Longhaul and scrapmetal. All these examples have their chests and even full torsos untouched with chunks and completely hide away.

They did no justice to Jazz. That model was god awful. The figure is faithful to the source so you can't blame Hasbro for such ugly figure. Bash them for the lack of paint.
