Very good tear-down. It would have been interesting to see the DSP chip used. Is it an SI? Also this radio has an annoying 'cirp' sound, which comes every 15 seconds and can be heard especially on MW but also on certain weak FM frequencies. Any idea to get rid of this annoying sound?
It may be the interference caused by the refresh of the temperature display. If you have the conditions, you can test whether this is the reason. We will cancel the temperature display in later updated versions.
@@retekessradio1714 Thank you for the reply. Yes I can confirm it is the TSens. I unplugged the TSens from the PCB-Board and the "Cirp" was gone. Unfortunately this firmware version expects to have a TSens signal so the radio reacted erratic (very slow keypress reactions)
I get this receiver tomorrow, from Amazon Italy, I really hope it doesn't make any noise: that of the temperature
it's a totally useless feature, which is also on my XH Data and it's doubly useless because if there are 20 degrees, the radio reads 25!

I saw that casio digital have a heartbeat measurement from digital, then this looks cool if can add that, if just numbers maybe like this: heartbeat level like 1 1 2 4 2 1 1, smthg like that right the up and down? Anyone understand? Because got clock maybe can alot of numbers - just an idea of "if read by number = the height".
Cos got temperature of surrounding, if BP too maybe is nice? Then temperature "of something"(using aluminium) too then can put on body to know temperature, like a cool doctor tool if this exist.

I'm torn with these radios.Some say get one,they are great for the money,others say stay far away,they stink.This one would be a no for simple fact no SSB.I notice it has an old style plug in like the cassette recorders had back in the 70s,those black ones with the huge buttons and carrying handle and the pop top lid.😂

@@TE. Плохо у Вас с музыкальными радиостанциями на FM. Одна народная музыка и западной очень мало. Жалко что непоказал как радио работает на КВ (SW). Ради этого и смотрел видео. Я когда-то переписывался с русской редакцией Voice of Vietnam. Посылал им рапорты о приеме передач русской редакции. В ответ оны высылали QSL card. Один раз получил от них вьетнамские почтовые марки.
