- This weeks edition of "Dumbass Debates w/ Barstool Chicago" is about whether or not a hamburger is a sandwich. I won't spoil who picked it for the people who like to watch the video version, but I bet that you'd be able to narrow down the guess.
I personally was fine with it as it is sometimes under the sandwich title when you go to to a restaurant. A lot of people on Twitter don't see to agree though.

I've listened to that part 4x's. I'm from the south so I respect accents and this might be my favorite.
I didn’t know I loved Jim so much but he’s a guys guy and sandwich connoisseur.
Obviously an expert in his field, but didn't come off as pretentious or a know it all. Wish I lived in the Chicago area so I could check out JP Grazianos!

Ice cream sandwich in the fifth round is your big bodied DH that will mash a ball into the galaxy as the first four picks just hit. Grilled cheese is the triple, chicken parm is chilling after hitting a double down the line, gyro is your streaky hitter who happened to sneak a single in and your PB&J led off with a absolute bomb
Jim was amazing in this. So awesome to have someone who knows exactly how the draft works
this might not be a huge thing in the middle of the country since they’re so far from the water but a good crab cake sandwich is absolutely fantastic, if you go to the beach and you find a restaurant that looks like a shanty from the outside but is really cool on the inside. chances are they have a good crab cake sandwich or maybe even a blackened tuna sandwich

How does Cheeseburger not get vetoed? I've seen vetoes for far less. Any menu separates burgers from sandwiches. You could literally do a snake draft of best types of burgers. Great draft, but big oversight

Definitely have left a place and thought that was a great Buffalo sandwich and then specifically returned for the sandwich. You definitely can mess it up. Also I like it wayyy better than Nashville hot.
No one has ever said, hey I'm going to go grab me a sandwich. Then come back with a cheeseburger. By definition I get it, but grabbing a burger and grabbing a sandwich. Two separate things.
I get that argument - but let's be honest, a hamburger IS a type of sandwich - yes the best kind, but it is still a kind of sandwich.....

If pulled pork and brisket are allowed, both of which are served on buns, then a burger must be included.

The real talk of this draft is how 2 Italians went 1-2 and another at pick 12. They have built a really great program and are truly making a big impact on this league.

Sandwich - An item of food consisting of two pieces of bread with Meat, cheese, OR other filling....PB&J is a filling. Cheese can be grilled in a sandwich form. A peice of meat, cheese and other fillings (onions, lettuce, tomato, etc). It's people just being particular.

out here in new york is where it was born and bred the bagel gets flak because it’s a misconception in a way because it’s how the dunkins of the world do it we are onto like level 8 of BECs in NY it’s almost a reflex to add the hash brown patties inside the saltpepperketchup i personally also throw in hot sauce, it’s a hard hard miss here

Grilling a pb&j is definitely an overlooked addition but it's fucking great. Not something you do every time, but if you're at home eating one instead of on the go I highly recommend it.

Honorable mentions...Fried Pork Tenderloin (shoutout to Iowa and Indiana), Tuna Salad / Tuna Melt, Baltimore Pit Beef (with tiger sauce and raw onions), Leftover Meatloaf Sandwich, and one the favorites in my family when packing a lunch, sliced summer sausage, cheddar, butter and horseradish.
Sorry if this is a spoiler. But you can just tell WSD is a crunchy peanut butter guy. Not a knock against the crunch but it just fits.
Revisiting this one and the Cheeseburger at 3 seems off....2 great sandwich picks then the burger. It grates

If you ever get good authentic Brisket in TX it will always come with White Bread, Onions, Pickles, and you eat it as an open or closed face sandwich. A meat forward sandwich sure, but Chief was way off saying just the meat alone.
White bread on a bbq platter is mainly for sopping up the juices...not intended to make a sandwich out of it.
