THIS IS INSANE! I just stated my garden journey and I bought a starter. It's crazy to think my little brussel sprout starter is going to get this huge! This makes me so excited to reap my hard work I've put in.
You should try pruning the lower leaves of your plant as it grows, to divert more energy into the fruit of the plant. This can help to increase the size of the sprouts. I'm no expert - I'm just watching a lot of TH-cam videos. lol :)
It's hard to imagine how broccoli and Brussel's sprouts are the same species until seeing this. I wondered, "how did they cultivate Brussel's sprouts from the large sprouts to the hundreds of tiny sprouts that is broccoli?" Once you realize that Brussel's sprouts are sprouts for more leaves that grow from the sides, instead of the standard flowering location at the top of the stalk like broccoli, things become so much clearer.
I planted 4 brussels sprout plants from seed and they grew about 3 inches and then they just stopped. They’re not dead. They’re just not growing. They are in organic soil with a little clay and rock and they’re just sitting there. Any suggestions?
Give it time, their growth speed will vary according to a bunch of factors, including temperature, sunlight exposure, size of their container, quality of soil and fertilisation, etc.
Well i mixed my seeds up n didnt know if mine was sprout or coliflower have long stem so like this so pretty sure its sprout plant lol newbi to sprout growiin so thk u great video 🤞🤞🤞
It's actually the "same plant". Both are Brassica Oleracea, they are varieties of wild cabbage. Other plants that are the same are cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts
Mine are tiny compared to those and have been in the ground since may 8 and now July 30th 2024 and definitely not as bushy 😂😂😢😢😅😅 nice sprouts however 🤙🏻

Move where they are. Add fertilizer or compost. Also, fox farm soil will grow anything.
Perhaps they need more room, if their containers are too small growth can be stunted.
Wow. Intense Audrey II vibes!!
What soil did you use? And fertilizer?!?! Because for whatever reason my plant just won’t grow and im 4 days in and its tiny!!!
We use potting mix and no fertilizer. Brussels sprout is a cool-crop vegetable, so it's only doing good, if the temperature below 70F.

What brand and model of grow light are you using for this?

@@eg6860 why don't they have subnames? Or names as subvarieties of that thing?
I planted the seeds 3 months ago and they resemble day 16 in the video.
How does it taste like?
Kinda of like baby cabbages lol

I'd rather you make a fast-forward video of the growth of flowers than vegetables
Heavily disagree. The edible plant time lapses are what I'm here for. Fascinating plants; fascinating growth process.
My sprouts seedlings stalks are almost stretched at 5cm on day 7 with only 3 leaves😢
