- In south-east Bali is the village of Sidemen. With its mountains, lush jungle and picturesque rice terraces, Sidemen is a hidden paradise waiting to be explored. In this video, I find myself the only guest in a luxury villa, take a jungle hike and have a leisurely stroll through the village.

Indeed. We lways spend most our time from Ubud and up north/east. Doing our best to avoid the touristy and crowded south. Sidemen/Karangasem/Amed are our favourites.

Sidemen is more a place for relaxing than adventuring. If you can rent a motorbike or even bicycle ride around the valley for sensational views and go up to Gembling Waterfall. Sidemen has plenty of warungs and a couple of high-end restaurants that are among the best in Bali.
Try learning some Indonesian and eating in warung if you want to.find out about bali and travel freely

Sorry I’m not sure of the name. But from memory you’ll find her on the main road through town about half-way along. Ask around and I’m sure people can point you the right way. She’s incredibly talented. Enjoy your honeymoon. Sidemen is such a beautiful part of Bali.
