We meet Wee Broon Van & Getaway Geese

- We awake from a peaceful night in Glasfynydd Forest, Wales and head for Shawsmead Caravan and Motorhome Club Site for a meet up with two other TH-camrs - Mike, Trish & Kiera from Wee Broon Van and Stew & Jane from GetawayGeese
On the way we pick up supplies in Lampeter and have a late breakfast at The Burger Box.
The following day we enjoy a coastal path walk at Llangrannog and get in some drone practice at the beach in Aberaeron.
We round off our meet up with a delicious meal out at Rossini’s Italian restaurant in New Quay.
In the morning, after a breakfast bap cooked in the van it is time to say our goodbyes as we all head off from the site.

It did feel strange being on a campsite and would you believe it they had a problem with the water supply just after we arrived and had to close the toilets and showers! Luckily it was all sorted out before we turned in for the night. Glad you enjoyed it, they were great company to spend a couple of days with ☺️

We were well fed up when the campsite had a problem with their water supply and closed the toilets and showers just after we had arrived and paid up! Luckily the water was back on again before bedtime or we would have been demanding a refund.

@@LifeistooshortCK oh no! I mean, these things happen, but not when you are paying for it. We started off going to one or two campsites a week, whilst doing vanlife, to get water refills and showers. But now we don't bother almost at all, unless with meetups like you guys did here.
As you used to say in your previous videos, we save the money from campsites and spend on activities and more travel 💚

It's nice to meet up with other people with the same mindset and interests. It's age's since I've had pub grub with all this covid scenario. Chatting, fun, a bite to eat, a drink, humour it's really hard to beat. Home baking is second to none. Another pleasant video to enjoy with my cuppa. Xxx ❤️💙

Another great video, enjoyed seeing the meetup and you all swapping stories I bet. When all seems lost on the breakfast front, you always seem to strike lucky with some good grub. I have many fond memories of mobile burger wagons as they kept me going for 15 years of van driving.

A lot of service businesses in the west are having issues getting employees and supplies. Cutting hours and variety. The stores seem well stocker over there. Heart attack on a bun looked great. Looks like a good brew up after dinner. Did you award "Drown Wings?" Always loved UK Pub Food. The home cooking looked excellent.
On our latest trip to the Forest of Dean we noticed a lot of hotels and restaurants were advertising for staff. The stores are not short of supplies at all. Not sure what you mean by Drown Wings? Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🙂
@@LifeistooshortCK It seems the UK mostly has a supply chain issue with fuels. The US seems to be having issues all over. The semiconductor shortages is making prices higher for devices and shut down many auto plants. Stay safe. I wonder if you could make Guinness beef stew in the LRC?

1) That Doom Bar is becoming very popular. I have not imbibed it as yet. Not available at my local off-license. I look forward to trying it on tap. I am advised that Nigel Farage is partial to it.
2) Lovely to have a hamburger delivery lady. We all need one. Here at the asylum we have to get breakfast ourselves but sometimes the cleaning lady takes pity on us and makes scrambled eggs and bacon with toast for us.
3) The bacon and sausages looked the treat. I like a thick pork sausage with my egg and bacon. First class food for first class travellers. You know what they say of course.... go first class or stay at home.....
4) All there is left to say is Happy Days and safe travels. Cheers. :-)

Our daughter was at University in Lampeter and we loved visiting there. One of the hotels did the best scrambled egg on toast I have ever had! Don't think the burger van was there then.

A very moody opening, with the fog and distant bleating. Nice. Meeting a tractor on a road like that is one of my worst fears. I'm way too tall and heavy to risk going off the side the way you did. Thanks for watching. The site was actually £41 as we got the reduced VAT rate and that was for 2 nights so not quite so bad, but compared to wild camping 😧 Meeting up with the other guys was good fun and we had a great time 👍😀

I must admit the Toyota Proace campervan with sliding seat/bed is my ideal campervan.

Hi Angela. We have an all over body wash every day using a small microfibre towel as a flannel and hot water 🙂
Ken did you get your Mini 2 fixed or buy a new one rather?
Bought a new one Glen. It had flown many flights so I think it was better to start afresh and also I am no fan of having to send my drone abroad to get it fixed. I could send it to Heliguy in the UK I suppose and that is where I got my new one.
That's a lot of bacon you get through ... do you take it with Red sauce or Broon sauce?

Did you know that car rental companies in Ireland will not rent cars to non-residents of Ireland over the age of 75? Apparently it is not a government law, it is because the car insurance companies won't issue insurance to such drivers and you can't legally drive a car there without insurance. I am an American citizen with many relatives to visit in Ireland and now must depend on them or public transportation to get around. Maybe American insurance companies should do the same with Irish residents coming here; "turnabout is fair play" after all.

face masks are still required in shops in Wales
As they are in Scotland but when you are seated at a table in a restaurant eating and drinking as in this footage you are not required to wear them. In supermarkets you still have to wear them here too unless exempt.

Perhaps they had just forgotten to bring them out of the van. I know I have been in supermarkets here with the odd person not wearing a mask and if staff don't challenge/remind them it solely comes down to them realising and then complying.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to actually point out to people entering Wales that the rules are different to England. In England we have not had to wear masks in public places for ages. It took us a while to realise Wales is different and we then started wearing them. We were a little stunned just how different the situation is in Wales to where we live.
