20 yrs ago I moved to Alaska to get away from humanity, I don’t even live in a municipality. I bought every book I could find on plants and berries my first year. I can’t tell you how much someone with your interests impress me. Myself, I can’t go anywhere without bringing home rocks and seeds.

I love the way you make these without any focus on humans, unlike selfies, you do not show your face, your fellow plant nuts who are are scrambling on the talus, it is all about the plants and their structures.

A copiapoa expert name bob barth came through and talked at the Austin succulent society and he has been measuring a single copiapoa cinera since the late 70s and said that in all those years it hadn’t put out a single cm of growth. The plant was 3 ft tall and 2 ft wide. He guessed that that single specimen was around the 1700 to 2000 yr old mark.
