THANK YOU. Cuphead's art style doesn't match 60 fps since it wasn't made with 60 fps in mind. It completely breaks the flow of the animation and it makes it look unnatural. Smoother animation does not mean it's better, the interpolation breaks the key concepts of animation.
Who in their right mind would interpolate official cuphead in-game animations to a higher FPS when the developers have put so much work to make the original unedited animation to look so good in the first place

yeah, like the idea of cuphead is early animation styles in a run and gun game with a fairly unique main character design for that era. ... the Netflix show can be animated differently, but that seems more like applying the choices more recently made Mickey Mouse cartoons to a property that mimics early Mickey mouse (along other things).

A lot of the animations feel really wonky when you update them to 60 FPS. You can really tell when something isn’t made for higher FPS A good example is at 7:59, where the dogs aren’t turning properly because the animation has two key frames per turn that work with the low FPS, but when you try to add more frames, it can’t properly fill in the lines and makes the turn animation even stiffer
yknow what i realized? saltbaker is salt and his body is glass right? in his second phase where he grows giant, and you have to send the salt demon things at him, he gets more and more cracked along with his clothes getting ripped. in the third phase where he's the salt columns, his glass body is broken, but the clothes are fine, but in the ending cutscene and epilogue, he's perfectly fine? hmmm
Ok so if people are confused on why people are complaining about the interpolation it's because essentially it kinda ruins the whole thing at first glance you may not see it but I encourage to pause a couple times and look closely. When inspected you'll notice these big smears are strange stretching because interpolation bots at least most of them were not made for this, they were made for live action. It kinda ruins the artistic intent and I don't understand why the video was interpolated.

I hate videos like this. Stop using interpolation AI on handdrawn animation please god. Using Interpolation ruins the point of animation. In an animation, each frame is its own full piece of art work. With the exception of motion lines and smear frames, motion blur is absent in animation because of the inherent way it’s made. If you just watch the video at 0.25x speed and you’ll see how badly the animations get blurred and messed up because the ai is not made to handle hand drawn animation, and it doesn’t understand what makes animation look good and how to draw inbetween frames. So much effort is put in just to draw 24fps animation which already looks amazing, 60 fps animation is not realistically feasible because it is unnecessary and more than double the work and time to make. It’s honestly insulting when people say animation “looks better like this because its smooth.” You’re tarnishing great work made by very talented individuals with this. Please stop.

@@Inkbower the answer is always that it will look like a blurry, muddled mess. That’s what happens every time this ai is used on hand-drawn animation. If it was just out of curiosity to see how it looked, they wouldnt have uploaded the video this way, as well as putting it in the thumbnail and title.
Seriously hate how people think it looks better when it completely messes with emphasis on movements and timing.

Because there's a different envoirement and its a dlc and maybe they thought it changed because its a dlc
When dantdm played it he said something like "that a sick looking new knockout screen"
