I was so in love with the game when I played it for the first time, kind of like that good single player MMO where you just collect everything and you go through the story and level up everything.. It felt so chill and enjoyable. When I got into the endgame though.. It didn't took me even a month to get everything I wanted. Then I got extremely bored. So I jumped into WoW because I was looking for a good mmorpg.. But nothing compares to new world in terms of graphics and pure gameplay. Finally, being frustrated that everything felt pointless... I deleted the game 1 month ago.. Playing some counter-strike and single player games that I never tried to have a great time. I would love to come back to New World.... But I believe it's never gonna recover.. People are just waiting for Ashes or LOTR. It had the potential to be way over WoW. Which is a bad game anyways...In my opinion.
I feel the same way, I am looking forward to the announcement on the 7th, I hope that will bring some massive new content. Until then though I have been playing other games I haven't had a chance to play, so I am not too frustrated. (:
One big thing is missing, and that's solo repeatable content. Expeditions, mutations, trials or something new that's adjustable for solo players. When you look at it, this game doesn't have any solo content except for acid chest runs (which are not repeatable), gathering (which can be frustrating) and factions missions. People love to be in MMO, in open world, but they don't like to depend on other people. Currently you depend heavily on other players, if you want to do expedition or trial, you need 3, 5, 10 or 20 people (not to mention if their gear is good enough), if you want to go Arena, you depend if other people are in, if you want to fight in the race, you need to have heavy presence of your faction. To do almost anything you need other players and waiting 30min to 1 hour to do anything is quite stupid. There is almost no solo farming (fighting) content except maybe for glob, but even that is quite dependent on others.
Good point. I often only have a bit of time to play per day before work, and once I get my dailies done, which doesn't take long, I find myself thinking now what, and I usually end up logging off.
That would be awesome, that's the long grind content I love in games. Like super small percentages, for a decent grind, but then at-least I feel like every kill is worth it. When I am leveling weapons it's so much better then when I hit max level, and high level skins to show how much you've used said weapon would be great as well, and let others know the person you're up against is elite at their chosen weapon type.
1. Get rid of the whole bind on equip system, only bind in equip artifacts. 2. Either make it one big storage system where it gets bigger per city you unlock , or make it more organized, let us change the names of the city to like leatherworking , armour , weapons, etc. just more organized. 3. Console support of course(heard it’s coming 4. Turn servers into free transfers, let’s us bounce back and fourth… if our server is full we can go to a different one( just merge all servers trade posts) 5. Allow us to have shared storages throughout our characters. I personally run a healer toon, a dps toon, and a tank toon. I hate when I unlock stuff for a toon and wish I could put it on a different one… we don’t even need a lot of slots … 5 big PvP expansions 6: one of the biggest improvements imo: Expedition Scoreboards. So you can compare how well you did vs your group. You can see how good the healer did on healing, or the tank did on incoming damage or incoming healing
Yea, those are some good ones. (: Do you think Expedition Scoreboards might make things more toxic though? Like if one DPS isn't as good as the others, they might get kicked mid-expedition?
@@NewbWorld that’s a good point, maybe in M3 competitive content but honestly out of the 1000s of mutations I’ve done I’ve never actually had anyone toxic enough to kick people for being “not good enough “ typically have only seen people get kicked for being verbally abusive towards tank or healer . But maybe a score check may give the tank and healer more firing power lol
Bug testing is nice to get more into, the only bad thing is players finding things not reporting, and make a use of it in live. But I think most people playing bug testing are honest ones who love the game. Storage is not needed to be maximum, I like the different towns to be able to categorise stuff. But once thing absolutely needed is being able to make a note or name the storage as you say. Total leaderboard is a 50/50. It sure awards loyal players but also throw away many new who can "never" reach those spots. But more leaderboards overall for crafting, gathering, mount stuff etc is always nice and makes people do different content as long as it gives rewards. Achievement is the big fail right now, they really need to give different rewards and be of a big fun variation to make people do different things out in the world. Great points to make in a video, hopefully more see our supports and suggestions!
Thanks for the response. (: Yea, for leaderboards, that's why maybe just for servers is the best move, so fresh start servers will allow new players to jump in and be able to compete on overall leaderboards. If it's lifetime, and cross-server, new players would have to no-life to catch up, or hope people in front of them quit. Achievements for sure needs so much of a rework, I keep getting achievements done, but it's like, for what? 😂
The biggest thing that would help me want to come back. I want instanced pvp that has a system similar to gw2. Regarding that you can que up and play with any build/max gear and switch on the fly. I love that, Open world can have all the gear differences in the world, but I hate instanced pvp where gear gaps exist.
I've never tried GW2 for PVP, I don't think I have ever played in a game where the gear is balanced, I guess that would be great for the newer players who just want to PVP without gearing up and leveling first.
Yea, I went and got it set up (which was kind of a pain), but then it wasn't accurate at all, so I just deleted it, especially with it not being confirmed if it could get you banned or not.
War Scrims, not only good for new players to get war xp but for companies to test meta changes and strats during these scrims without having to test them in real wars.
Yea, actually that's a really cool idea. I was never that interested in these practice wars, but if you can like challenge any company you want to a war, and put some gold up on the line, that would allow everyone to participate, and keep things fun. The territories can be for the extreme companies, but casual wars can be more for fun. You challenge another company to a war, with a set bet amount and time to war, and if they accept, it goes down, winner wins the gold, and then each company can have like a war record, with how many wins/losses they have. Good idea. (:
The problems: #1 is that detecting the bugs isn't the bottleneck. Bugs are found in PTR all the time and not fixed. #2 would have to be policed by the devs to ensure that no one is getting an advantage over another by using the add on. Its fine in RS because its not as PvP oriented but allowing add ons for PvP could cross the line to exploiting very easily. The rest are pretty spot on.
Yea, with the bugs, since the new code is in, we haven't had much time to see if it's working, I hope that makes a big improvement to bug fixing. I really don't want addons, I just feel like things would get done so much faster with addons. I haven't really played any PVP focused games with addons though, so I wouldn't know. It would get annoying in PVE as well, everyone would need like 5 addons at least for M3s, and invasions, etc.
I actually am doing that right now. 😂 I am making it into a series, it's called artifact hunter, I am currently 2 episodes in. Mostly knocking out PVE ones first tho.
company castle where they can hold thier events would be cool. Have a room that could send the people to the arena for example. or have an arena room that automates for company touneys.
Interesting points. Although in my case, I was there until the expansion of the angry earth in first light. I would only return if they did a complete rework of territorial wars, because the fact that only 1% of the player base can play them (official data) was what turned me away. There is simply no incentive for the endgame.
Yea, there recent comment on a video from someone who had a great idea for wars, what do you think about this: So instead of just practice wars, they keep the hardcore ones for territories, but they also add "casual" wars. This would be, any company can challenge another company to a war, set the time, and how much gold to wager, and if the other company accepts, they both fight it out, winner takes the gold, and every company has a record of wins/losses for wars. So it's not too intense of a system that no one does it, and keeps an incentive to do it. I thought that was a good idea.
@@NewbWorld It's simply looking at games like Conquerors Blade or Myth of Empires, where any clan can fight for territories on a small and large scale. Here they simply allow the same clans to control the entire game and the same characters to be in all the wars
@@sikandarnw6163 Yea, I am all for going and looking at systems in other games that do it better, and just copy it. xD Then once everything is up to par, come up with some unique original systems.
#4. YES. It might be counterintuitive, but I think Legendary drops need to be a much rarer drop. Players should mostly be getting gray with the occasional green and blue drop during leveling. Purple needs to feel exciting, maybe dungeons and M1s. Legendary should be M2 and M3s. Having 100+ legendary items in your inventory means… they’re not legendary lol Sandworm rewards need to be upgraded. As well as M3s. M3s should drop chromatic seals, matrix resources, golden scarabs, transmog tokens, etc. Things that players actually want.
I am completely in the same boat, but I worry we might be the minority. I love a good grind, and a rewarding drop, but I see so many people complaining on Reddit that they had to grind for a couple of hours to get their artifact. I feel like that's how it should be! These are game changing items. I got a lot of my artifacts on the first 3 kills, and it really just makes it feel less special. Pestilence took me a bit longer to get, and when I finally got it, the feeling was so much better than any other ones I got.

Now, they are ready to focus on LordOfRing - new game, new experience, new unique world + funs. IMHO, we (players) can help with bugs... at least report most critical bugs to get the game great again ;)
@@mykolago Yea, and I don't mind if they try to bring everyone over to the LOTR MMO n have a fresh start. I like LOTR, I'll give it a go, and if it feels like New World but really good and polished, I'm down to play it.
Unfortunately, they aren’t interested in suggestions that would shake up the game or help the pvp scene. In June, They are going to announce console release , a new expansion, and pvp island (but no other significant pvp changes) but those won’t be available until late October. Thats not enough for existing players. Too little, too late. I love New World. Every game I love and put in 4k hours to has inept devs and it ends up quickly dying after a few years of release .
Did you see Jay's new video about the new game studio AGS is forming in Romania? Maybe they'll hand NW over to them and things will change. I am trying to keep my optimism up until June, and go from there, but it is worrying at times.
is swimming added or has the community given up on the idea that it will ever happen? XD i stopped playing a long while ago, i dont know if all these fit the style of the game and even if they added them, they alone arn't enough to get me back.
Yea, I am kinda the same, I don't like addons, but I just feel like all of the small quality of life stuff the game needs, like storage names, and mini-maps, can be knocked out in a week by players, instead of waiting on AGS to add it to the list, and implement it in a year.
I think its weird how I don't see anyone mentioning performance. Performance in towns is absolutely dreaful. It is definitely the main reason I put down this game shortly after trying to get into it again. I have a fairly beefy PC (probably better than most). I can't image what it is like for the person with an average spec'd pc.
Hmm, I don't really notice bad performance in town, and my PC isn't great, plus I am in the Caribbean with really bad internet. I have heard a couple ppl mention it though. Grats on the FA Cup as well btw. :P
#2 - Add ons: No thank you. Would make me give up on the game completely. The main NW issues that needs to be addressed: 1. Lack of interesting repeatable endgame content 2. Too many bugs and issues with every patch. 3. Server structure. .. There are lots of minor issues as well, but those are the most important ones.
I don't really want Addons either, but I just feel like it might be for the greater good, with players who love the game able to get quality of life features out way quicker than AGS could.
Great content as always.... BUGS @mecr0w has a list of nearly 200 bugs he has documented in detail and sent to AGS. The current Slayer Script is also very buggy making combat much worse. AGS is aware of these bugs, but has decided NOT to prioritize their fix and instead focus on the June announcement content. I agree with you there are many obvious fixes, the VAST majority of players would appreciate, however AGS it appears has already made its decision on what to focus on.... and it is certainly not Bug fixes, especially after their promise to do better then release Season 5 in the condition it is in.
Yea, and they should reward those dedicated players like Mecrow, even if it's a small gesture, like a custom title, "Dedicated Bug Fixer." He's doing more work than some members of the AGS staff, and it's for free. 😂
Not a single thing you mentioned would motivate people to come-back to play NW, in order to bring people back to play NW you need to understand psychological nature of people, unified storage is a good quality of life, pvp will never be a good incentive, giving gold for testing on test server is nonsense.
I should have put a little disclaimer at the start of the video, this is more to get the game back on track, and make it more enjoyable for those still playing, then when they try to bring everyone back with like a console release, or an expansion, the game is ready to keep them. I wanted it to be easier things to implement, and keep it realistic. There's infinite things that could bring people back, like Naval Combat, new skills, etc. But that's just massive implementations that I don't think are really realistic. As for rewarding the PTR testers, I think it's fair, they're pretty much working for AGS for free, a small incentive on their main accounts seems fair to me. Would also get more people in, and it seems as if a lot of bugs are making it into patches, whether they know about them or not is a different question, but if there's tons of ppl testing for them, more will be found.
I get it, there have been hints at a new monetization method coming though, hopefully the game goes fully free to play, but we'll have to wait and see.
I mean, that's what I would do. 😂 Take the best aspects that work well in other MMORPGs, like Runescape's skilling, ESO's Cyrodiil, etc. No need to come up with 100% original ideas, I would first get the game to a really good place, then start thinking about unique, genre defining things to add to the game.
Lol, you suggest something then that would take no dev time and make the game better. You're being overly bitter for no reason, everyone of these games will 100% make the game better, and of course everything takes a bit of development time.

Main question: Are New World is prio 1 or 2 for AGS? do not think so for next 2-3 years... the NW game was great to get experience in game development, to get idea how it works and collect mistakes (different mistakes, always unique ;) )...
Imagine they actually do some game development New World feels like a shelved project rn.
Well hopefully June will prove us all wrong. (:
@@NewbWorld I hope so too
Mega Servers with channels and Achievement Rewards 👍🏻
Yea, mega servers would be massive for the game.
is swimming added or has the community given up on the idea that it will ever happen? XD
i stopped playing a long while ago, i dont know if all these fit the style of the game and even if they added them, they alone arn't enough to get me back.
No swimming yet, but it has been pretty much confirmed to be coming with the June announcement.
Not sure adding addons is a good idea.
Yea, I am kinda the same, I don't like addons, but I just feel like all of the small quality of life stuff the game needs, like storage names, and mini-maps, can be knocked out in a week by players, instead of waiting on AGS to add it to the list, and implement it in a year.
i dont like addons
I think its weird how I don't see anyone mentioning performance. Performance in towns is absolutely dreaful. It is definitely the main reason I put down this game shortly after trying to get into it again. I have a fairly beefy PC (probably better than most). I can't image what it is like for the person with an average spec'd pc.
Hmm, I don't really notice bad performance in town, and my PC isn't great, plus I am in the Caribbean with really bad internet. I have heard a couple ppl mention it though.
Grats on the FA Cup as well btw. :P
@@NewbWorld Manchester will always be red ;)
#2 - Add ons: No thank you. Would make me give up on the game completely.
The main NW issues that needs to be addressed:
1. Lack of interesting repeatable endgame content
I want ships ik not going to happen but it would make me stay playing not much else will
Same, swimming is coming, so that's one step closer. :P
Who is still playing this in 2024? 😂
We out here surviving. :P
Not me but I did watch this video
@@Nateramis 😂 I am the same, I still watch OSRS videos even though I haven't played in years.
My friends don't wanna buy any DLC ... Even expensive DLC .... cuz they are from southamerica
I get it, there have been hints at a new monetization method coming though, hopefully the game goes fully free to play, but we'll have to wait and see.
@@NewbWorld maybe free2play would be the best option
@@fernandomedina9450 Yea, get more people in to play with.
my guy, this shit gon be closing down in a matter of months considering how dead the game is. dont keep your hopes up, absolute shit game.
I think it'll be longer than a couple of months. 😂 They got the big announcement in June.
@@NewbWorld dont be too sure about that LMAO
@@AGENTEN-ry6lr We'll have to wait and see. xD
At minium.
So long story short, New World needs to copy other games like runescape and albion online, etc...
@@NewbWorld I agree with you :)
You live in a pink world.
What does that mean? 😂
What a $hit list. Apart from 1 and 7 all your recommended changes would take a lot of Dev time and make the game worse.
Lol, you suggest something then that would take no dev time and make the game better. You're being overly bitter for no reason, everyone of these games will 100% make the game better, and of course everything takes a bit of development time.
It’s dead, let it go
I'll never let it go until the servers are shut down. 😂
