Yea, they're doing the Visual Kei style in Japan. You can usually tell because all the members are dudes, but look very feminine, mostly inspired by the 80s hair metal bands in the US and X Japan.
Wrong, Visual Kei was not inspired by X-Japan, X-Japan was just the first mainstream Visual Kei band, VK existed in Japan way before X-Japan existed and was inspired by KISS and Kabuki, also it was created as an escapism of the standard gray lives of Japanese poeple who have dresscode everywhere starting from Daycare.
